The Castle ruins is just a pile of rocks, there must be some history behind it but for me all stars goes for the amazing views of Oia and sunset.

The sea, the cliffs, the sunset colours are very much breath taking. But the amount of tourists gathering there from all over the island is overwhelming. Indeed it is exceptional, but it wasn't worth all the hustle and the noise for me

Beautiful city view accompanied by breath-taking contrasts of architecture, this place is lovely in the daytime as it is in the evening.

Oia is northwest of the Island where the Byzantine Castle Ruins are, and Akrotiri is in the southeast and you need to drive to get there. Enjoy your trip!
