We walked down the 250+ steps to this treasure spot and took the donkey ride back up. Great place for lunch and swimming. If you venture through the restaurants you will find a pathway around the rocks. Just a 5 minute walk and you will find a spot where people hangout and swim. We had a great time meeting folks... This was one of our favorite places in Santorini. It's a hidden area under Oia that not many people visit. You can walk down from Oia or can drive down the road. There are 4 Tavernas serving fresh seafood. The food was great however overpriced. Same seafood at another restaurant in the island would be almost half price and I'm... More

The trip down to the seaside below Oia is worth the walk. The seafood is a bit fresher, and owing to people's reluctance to make the trek, less crowded. You'll be amazed at how clean and clear the water is, and the breeze directly off the water is cool and refreshing. Enjoy.

We drove to the spot and stopped by there to enjoy the breeze and sunkiss. If you like to hike, I believe that is a good place to go, you can also enjoy fresh seafood at the restaurants there.

Very pretty bay worth a short visit for photos or lunch. One of its kind on santorini. Nice circular walk down the road from end of Oia town and back up steep stairs to the centre (or ride back up on a mule if you cant face the climb) takes around 45 minutes. You can also drive down. Note there... More

Magnificent view on the way down. We could not resist soaking our feet on the blue fresh water sitting on the small pier, looking up to the beautiful hill. There are several wonderful restaurants (with affordable prices), and the sunset view is gorgeous, and not as crowded as upstairs. Both going up and down can be hard, but NEVER use... More

The location of filming Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Breathtaking view, unique atmosphere. Sitting down at the dock while enjoying the early winter breeze. The last time I visited this place was last December, in mid afternoon, still sunny with some cold wind. Shops are closed but still an awesome place to take beautiful stills.

The owner of our villa recommended a restaurant (Dimitri's) in Ammoudi Bay so we decided to give it a try with friends of our who we met on a sunset sailing cruise. We were all happy with the decision. Enjoying the sunset just feet from the crashing waves made for one of our favorite dinners of our trip to Santorini.

If you walk along the rocks at ammoudi bay, you will find several places with clear blue water where it is nice to swim or even dive from the rocks (be careful to always check the depth first!).

I can't even tell you if it's worth visiting or not. I am still out of breath for trying to go on foot from Ammoudi bay up to Oia village. Ammoudi is located right under the traditional and northeast village on Santorini; Oia. I visited this small bay several times this summer and beside the tasty but quite overpriced food... More
