Beautiful house with very well kept gardens. Worth a visit if you read the books and enjoyed them otherwise just a look from the outside is good enough.

We had not heard of this author or his gentleman burglar character so didn't know what to expect in this small house museum. We came away feeling well informed and enjoyed the visit.

We first discovered Lupin through the Netflix show, then read a couple of the original books. Seeing the beach and boardwalk in the show inspired our desire to go to Etretat so when I saw there was a Lupin house, I knew I wanted to check it out.
It is the home of the author and is set up with an audio tour that walks you through the rooms with Lupin decorations and items. It is a little cheesy but fun if you like that time period mysteries. The garden is lovely and it is fun to see inside an old home as well.

Even if you haven't read any of the Arsène Lupin novels, this museum is well worth visiting. It's set out like Lupin's house, and as you go from room to room, you're given details of the story of the Hollow Needle via headphones - in English or most other major languages, clues are pointed out, and the scene is set for the mystery. It's quaint, not at all slick or commercial, and very good fun for all the family.

Our children were not interested by this tour, and we were parked as visitors.
Comments far from the book and we suspect the tour operator didn't know the author !....

This is the house where the writer Maurice Leblanc lived and wrote his novels about the "French Robin Hood" Arsene Lupin. No doubt he was inspired by the spectacular cliffs where Lupin could hide if necessary. He made them famous, especialy the cliff called the needle because of its pointed shape.
You can see the house and its well-kept garden on your way from the largest parking place to the centre of the town, just watch for the signs. The house with its unusual shape looks mysterious, suitable for a mystery writer.

I am a big fan of the work of Maurice LeBlanc so I had to see Le clos Arsène Lupin.
You may visit the author's house with a lot of reference to his books.

I am quite a fan of Arsene Lupin so the tour was quite enjoyable. If you don't know the story of l'Aiguille Creuse it's a good way to get to know it without reading it although it's easier to enjoy the house if you already know who he is.
