Very nice place to visit, especially in a sunny day. Climb both sides - you get different views and the surroundings are different on top. We were off season (September) so keep in mind, that most of the restaurants are closed until 5 p.m. (at least), so you might want to grab a baguette, some cheese and cold cuts from... More

It was rainy, very windy and kind of cold but still the sight was amazing. It's worth going all the way from the church to the high cliff which is on the left (facing the see). Also the waves hitting the rocks was a really nice view.

This is by far one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. If you're able to, do climb up to one of the bluffs to look down on the town and the incredible perspective of being at the top. (There are roads, too, if you're driving.) I happened to go during their Herring Festival at the end of October.... More

We went to the Falais de Etretat on a rainy and Windy day but the beauty of the cliffs did not deter us from climbing right to the top most viewing point as the enchanting scenario just doesn't allow you to retreat. We also got to see a group of surfers beating the waves like Dolphins on the go. The... More

France - a multitude of landscapes... Here, at etretat you can discover green pastures and Normandy's grazing horses right off the beach. Etretat is located in a small valley in between two cliffs. I visited the town in winter... Advantages: You'll find less tourists and the hotels are much cheaper... Beautiful winter skies and pleasant weather for walks around etretat.... More

So very worth the walk, even in the cold (which I hate!). Views are incredible, and the sound of the waves on the rock beach is very unique, even for a girl who grew up with the ocean as a front yard. Be careful with young ones, as there are no safety precautions, and the edges are quite steep. If... More

The view makes this place worth the visit, the clifs, the arcades carved in the rocks, the small church on the clif, the seaguls, the grass, the town below us and the infinit ocean. France has a lot of gifts to offer

A divine place.. must must visit. It reminds me of the Entrance in Sydney, don't know why. But la Falaise is more... ancient. Beautiful place, beautiful small village, tasty caramel they sell :)

Never in my life I have taken so much rain and wind as to make the top of the falaises! Well worth it, though: the view from the top is so incredible it will give you vertigo.

Extremely beautiful landscapes. Quiet and beautiful. Nice restaurants near. Good place to spend a while day if you are in Paris.
