The Selous safari was undoubtedly the best trip we took during our July holiday on the island of Unguja. A brilliant event, organized perfectly from start to finish. Hotel-airport and airport-hotel transfers by a comfortable, air-conditioned bus, driven by an experienced driver. We were very positively surprised by the plane - we expected some old, slow plane, but it turned out that we were traveling in a decent, large plane, piloted by one of the best pilots we have ever flown with, and we fly quite often... (both takeoffs and landings were simply perfect, and yet in Selous there is no asphalt, smooth runway, only compacted, red earth). The cars on the safari itself were also a real hit - large, solid, eight-seater Land Rovers, which were safe and as comfortable to travel in as possible when driving off-road. Advice from us: 1) due to the fact that the cars are uncovered and there is a possibility of getting hit in the face by a branch, children and people with poor reflexes should sit next to the driver or in the second row of seats, because in these places the risk of such an accident is reduced almost to zeros; 2) tall people should avoid the last, fourth row of seats. The ranger who drove our car was not only a great driver, but also a very nice man who spoke very good English and had extensive knowledge about the lives of animals inhabiting the savannah. We will not write about the wonderful landscapes and wonderful wild animals that we could often observe from a very close distance - you simply have to see it with your own eyes. However, we will write about an additional attraction of this safari, which is the guide Tomek Dworczyk himself. The guy is brilliant - being and talking to him is like a shot of adrenaline. He is full of positive energy, which he somehow magically transmits to others. His stories were great to listen to. Tomek is a direct person, always smiling and completely crazy in the positive sense of the word. Thank you Tomek, we can't wait to meet you again!
To sum up: a great trip that we can recommend with a clear conscience to everyone going on their first safari in Africa, the price is very competitive and the quality of services is at the highest level. We booked a 2-days safari in Mikumi and 1-day snorkelling/dolphins in Mnemba with Safari Gateway. Both were fantastic and exciting experiences for the whole family, an incredible immersion in wildlife that goes beyond imagination. Having the possibility to get so close to animals that you cannot see elsewhere on planet was absolutely breathtaking. Everything was perfectly organised and taken care of by Safari Gateway: the planning, the transfers, the excursions, the lodging and the food…nothing was left to improvisation or uncertainty. The visit to a Masai tribe was the cherry in the cake that allowed us to realise how this community lives and is organised around very simple but strong traditions and rules. Their warm welcome and traditional jumping dance to which we all participated was a great fusion of cultural diversity. Our guide during the safari, Yoram, was so great: passionate, competent, kind and patient, he did all he could to get every single animal in the savana under our radar screen! And guess what ? We could see all of them, even the leopard that is very difficult to see!
The visit to Mnemba island was another great moment where we could see the dolphins and basically swimming with them to then go for a snorkelling tour in the beautiful shallow waters located in the best side of the island with colourful fishes and plentiful corals. Here our guide and driver was Mashaka who is also such a caring and kind person.
Overall an enjoyable journey with Safari Gateway that I would strongly recommend to anyone!

Booked at budgetsafarisansibar.com Very reliable and helpful manager. Thank you Biubwa, you did a great job. From the beginning to the end of the safari everything was very well organized. I thought it was great that the weather conditions were taken into account during the safari. I was able to see almost all of the animals. The driver Ali had the know-how to drive skillfully on these paths or to position the jeep so that I could see the animals in the best position. He also knew which paths the animals took and we could only wait until the animals crossed our path. It was very eventful and varied. It was a highlight to have done this safari. I recommend this safari to anyone who wants to experience nature and its ambience with all the wonderful and diverse animals. Absolutely top class!

A well-organized safari, both technically (pickup from the hotel, flight, travel around the park, etc.) and substantively (curiosities, additional information, etc.). A huge advantage was also the exceptionally long time we spent on safari from sunrise to sunset, thanks to which we saw a very wide range of animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas and many more. The so-called drivers chosen by Tomek were also of great importance. A "team of crazy drivers" who did everything so that we could safely see the animals from the closest possible distance. Thanks to this safari, we fulfilled our dreams, I will remember this trip forever and we do not regret a single dollar spent on it.

I was on Safari in Selous National Park on Aut 19, 2023. t was well organised: we started early morning to have a possibility to see wild animals on their way to their breakfast and finished at a sunset time. Thomas Dworczyk, our guide and his team- they took care about everything: contacted us before safari giving all needed information, organised picking us from different hotels very early morning, then short flight from Zanzibar to Selous. The landrovers with drivers were waiting for us equipped with cold water and other soft drinks. After 2 hours we had a short brake to have coffee, tea and pancakes in a bush. Later, we also had our lunch under baobab. Everything was well organised. I have seen lions, zebra's, giraffes, elephants and other wild animals in their natural environment. Thanks a lot!

Amazing experience safari in Tarangire and NgoroNgoro crater! The attention to details and the excellence of the driver, food and accommodations (Lions Paw) were beyond my expectations.
Our driver and guide , William “the star”, on was kind, knowledgeable and flexible in working with us.
In short, after doing a great deal of research for price and quality, I am delighted with Safari Gateway and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone planning a Tanzanian safari. Asante sana to all at the company!

The best one day Safari in Selous you can do. Professional trackers and drivers, full of passion, will do everything to track and show as many animals as possible, especially since it starts at sunrise and ends at sunset. A full-day trip full of adventure. Plus delicious catering (no lunch boxes, just a normal dinner) and unlimited drinks. Let's add a very good price and we have our dream Safari :) We had a great time. Thank you!

First of all i went with my grandma, mom, sister, brother, aunt and cousin, we were seven in total so we got our very own car and that was very nice since we were able to choose what to see and where to go. Apart from the amazing views, what was really great of our tour was our tour guide. His name is Fidelis, he was very very nice to us, entertained us during the whole trip, and told us so many interesting facts about the environment and every animal we encountered. He went to great lengths to show us every animal he could, and we even managed to see a leopard, which he said was very very lucky since they are so hard to spot and usually a solitary creature. Best safari experience ever, thanks safari gateway and thank you Fidelis!! would recommend

One of best experiences in our life ❤️ We started in Selouse Reserve at dawn and had plenty chances to see animals in their natural environment till sun set. Tomek and drivers from Safari Gateway have great talent to find and react to appearance of wild life so we don't miss any occasion. A lot of knowledge and huge commitment to what they do. And at the top of it also great photographer doing best shots. I recommend their service with all my heart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Safari with Tomasz is an unforgettable experience! His professionalism combined with amazing photography skills allowed us to discover the wilderness in a whole new way. The Amani driver was not only very skilled at driving in difficult terrain, but also at sharing his knowledge of the area and animals.
