For us the most beautiful and impression fullest stretch of beach we have seen on Zanzibar. We recommend visiting at low tide. There are so many things to see that are usually in the water and that you don't get to see otherwise. With a bit of luck you can also see starfish, we saw them on the far right around the rock.
You can also just come here to sunbathe or just walk along the bottom of the ocean. Lots of crabs.
The beach section is highly recommended, I would allow one to two hours of pastime to see as much as possible.

Transfer from Breezes resort to here thanks to Said and Goodlife travel . Air conditioned car with excellent driver and able to look at things on the way eg the huge baobab tree near Paje . Several hours at Mtende wallowing in the warm water and looking at the stunning views .

Worth seeing. We've been there between 11-12 AM and it wasn't crowded. The entrance fee is like 1$ pp.

The hidden gems…third trip to this place because it’s alway the best .photo session with our client on this beach which was just amazing 🤩.we visited Mtende in the mid tides when it was low tide we took some few photos and enjoyed the beach after couples of hours the tide started flowing again and it made this place to look more beautiful than before we also got some great photos.I’ll recommend to visit Mtende when it low tide so as you can experience this beach in both tides .Check the tide timetable on google it’s every day and tides changes after every 6 hours.

Trip to Mntende on a day of uncertain weather , unfortunately this year in September it rained enough in the south , however we brought our friends to know this pearl , which despite the clouds liked a lot . For the detailed description I leave you my previous review , I remember to check the tide chart to better appreciate this part of the coast , this time we had lunch at the Restaurant on the stilts “Usumba Rock “ which Recommendation , reviewed apart , unfortunately at some point the beach fills with groups of people arriving from all over the island removing charm , however if you visit early it seems to be in a lost Paradise .

Wherever you are in Zanzibar, take a taxi and be taken to Mtende. Even this beach alone is worth the trip. Unmissable.

Salve.
I know that Mtende can only be visited at low tide ... or rather it is preferable otherwise it loses its charm ... can I ask you at most how much the tide can be to visit it at best? 0,9 -1,0?
Thanks in advance to those who will respond.
