Fantastic beach bar with an ample menu and drinks. Lovely to watch the surfers and be amazed by their skill. Friendly staff.

Hi Karen, Thank you for the reaction, but we are not a beachbar. I think you are referring to Ponta Preta beachbar. We are an awesome kiteschool and don’t serve drinks or food. We do have a friendly staff Haha. Hope to welcome you one day in our kiteschool, please bring snacks, because we don’t serve them 😉

I had my 2nd and 3rd lesson here, with Anthony. Anthony was an excellent instructor, really professional and got me riding on the board on my 3rd lesson. He took safety seriously and was really patient with me. I felt I was in good hands and had a lot of fun! Got me hooked to kitesurfing and look forward to coming back next year!

My mom and I went to Cape Verde for a week to learn kitesurfing. My mom could already ride but I had to start from scratch. We both took lessons at Kite & Tonic, a kite school at Ponta Preta which is a quiet place with not too many kite surfers and no big waves. Kite teacher Anthony really helped me well. After four days of kite lessons I could already ride on my own which was for sure not what I expected! He is an experienced, calm teacher that explains everything step by step and he is very savvy on safety!! It was also nice that the school owners (Anthony and Lisette) spoke Dutch. We had nice chats and they both were genuinely interested in our progress. Apart from Dutch, there are also lessons available in English, German and French as far as I know. Moreover, they gave us tips for good restaurants. Something you will definitely need after a long day of surfing... So if you want to learn kitesurfing, this is the place to be!

Went to kite and tonic and so glad I did. I’d explained I had a land kite and had a couple of lessons on other holidays. Anthony listen when I explain my experiences. He was an excellent teacher who inspires confidence which is essential as a beginner getting into the water. After 2 lessons I had my first real ride. I then came back for a third and was sent out with Gilson a local lad who works as an instructor for K&T. He’s a credit to the school. If you are thinking of kitesurfing lesson then go to these guys!!!! Anthony thanks for the lessons and for the awesome moped journey thru biblical rain🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

I was staying nearby at the Riu Palace and decided to try a couple of Kitesurfing lessons on the beach. The teachers all speak perfect English and are very chilled out and reassuring. We started out learning to fly and control small and then larger kites, how to launch them and move them etc. followed by dragging ourselves through the water in different directions, before trying to get up on the board. If you are staying nearby and the wind is good, I'd highly recommend it. My only regret is I didn't go earlier so I could fit more lessons in.
