visited on my birthday. have to join with ID but this is normal in casinos.
big down side is smoking in there. clearly stinks and you can smoke on the tables. that's a bit 1990's but normal for this part of the world.
min bet on roulette is £1 which isa bit steep for some cheap fun but we got lucky a few times and was there for an hour.
not much to do on a night so worth a visit

We came to Casino Royal to lose some money and we did. But we had fun doing it! Very nice staff, great roulette and blackjack tables! The slots are very modern and technical, which has both pros and cons. Fair drink prices and damn, what a great beer!
Minusses: not many guests, you can smoke inside and no poker available. But overall very good experience. :-)

Just come back from Riu palace and went to this casino most nights. Had a brilliant time staff so attentive apart from one bouncer who followed me into the toilet and asked for a five euro tip 😂😳. So told him where to go. We play slots at home and these ones payed out pretty good. Only ten minute walk from palace and plenty of taxis available for coming back

Made a visit to Casino Royal May 2022 from hotel Funana/Capo Vere complex for 4 Euros, as we planned to make a few visits there.
On entry, we wasn't welcomed by any of the staff explaining what services were available, so we had to fathom it out ourselves. Probably would have spent more if we known what was what (we took 100 euros for a night out)
We looked at the automated roulette table, but passed due to the many smokers. Exchanged larger euro notes at the change desk and hit some of the slots.
All slots accept only euro notes (no coins) all payments are made in printed vouchers that you exchange for cash at the cash desk. There were manned roulette tables along with black jack. Food/drink available, but since we were not introduced, we passed on that. We spent about 1 hour and left, with the greater part of our 100 euro spend still in our pocket.

After reading all the good reviews, my partner and I decided to go as we are big casino fans back home and go a bit. When we arrived we were given the welcome money which was nice a good start! However, upon entering the casino we soon found that we were the only people in there except for 3 locals. We quickly went to the bar and brought a bottle of wine but were told we cannot drink it at the machines and tables so we had to keep going back to the bar to drink! Not a big drinks menu and expensive! After using our 20€ on the machine we went to the roulette table and was told it was 25€ min on black and red to play!! Who can afford that! We later found a table that was 10€ min on black and red! We are used to casinos being £1 min on black and red and it suddenly made sense to us why it was so quiet no one can afford it! We quickly left after feeling very sad and disappointed. People were walking around in flip flops and bikini dresses as well which didn’t help the vibe as we made the effort to dress up. It was also bad as the staff were smoking as you can smoke in there so for non smokers just be aware. Overall, I wish I could give it a good review as we were so excited and the people are so friendly but I cannot due to the overpriced tables and the general atmosphere and rules.

Had such a fab night out on a rather dull holiday to Cape Verde. Not a huge Casino but has everything you need.
My husband and I had great fun on the Roulette.
Reasonably priced drinks, a good atmosphere and really nice, friendly staff who made our evening more enjoyable.
Well worth a visit.

A nice casino with good atmosphere. Didn't win anything but okay experience anyway. Friendly staff and a good idea with the 20 euro welcome check, for the machines, to first timers like me.

Casino Royale is not too big but has everything you would expect to find in a casino. We tried our luck at the slots and roulette table, but there were also poker and black jack tables around. Friendly croupier (Mike) and appreciated the €20 gift voucher for the slots.

First and only casino in Cape Verde or so I'm told, friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices for drinks, lost on the roulette but hey I blame my family for the birth dates.

Olá Gilson. Aqui todo mundo trabalha com Euros. É convencionado aqui que 1 euro equivale a 100 escudos. Então, uma cerveja por exemplo custa 2 euros ou 200 escudos, tanto faz. Você pode pagar em qualquer moeda. É comum você pagar em uma moeda e receber o troco em outra.

If can help I saw a really nice poker room as my partner loves that game too But was no game, we asked about it and they need 5 players to sit and open the table. There is a friendly Italian guy working there as Manager, would suggest to go there and ask him, looks like he is doing his best to make the game started.
Is anyone over18 able to go and play in there, because its in Hilton hotel I assume?
