We visited here this morning and even with steady rain, it was open to hiking and using bike trails. A window cashier said a gondola ticket was $24 but was likely to be closed today. l walked around the large restaurant, small kiosk and a bike wash station near the 2 largest lifts of the 15 total available.
Now we just need clear weather.

Ski'd one day at Gore and tried to ski a second day at Gore. Day 1 at Gore was nice. 34/35 trails open. Most lifts open. Mountain was organized well. Blue trails are true cruisers, difficulty level similar to Poconos. Gondola is nice. Day 2 at Gore was a disaster. We had a rain/sleet/ice/snow storm the day before. We checked the Gore website at night before and they had already posted that 30 trails plus 11 lifts would be up and running next day. Checked agin 630 am when I woke up and while the website was updated it maintains "slow start for some lifts". Arrived at Gore at 920AM. No lifts operating. BY 945 one lift is starting to take people up the hill but atleast 1000 ppl waiting in line. Waited until 12PM and finally left. You ruined our last day here. We planned around you but you failed to adequately communicate the troubles that were being had with the lifts. I could have skiied at many other places but instead relied on your poor communications with regards to lift operations. You have a website - use it! Poor,Poor, poor! Most people understand challenges with bad weather, which happens. However, there really isnt an excuse for not comunicating the problems that you have or are experiencing.

Seriously Gore! You have such a great mountain to ski on but you have to do something about your food services. We spent two hours in the Tannery before we got our food. We witnessed the wait staff being hostel and confrontational with other guests. It took 30 minutes before menus arrived and then another hour for the food to show up. The food was not well prepared and completely undercooked. I was there to ski, not to sit in a restaurant with mean waitresses and undercooked food. Taking into account that Covid may have been partly to blame due to restaurant being short staffed. They should still warn people of delays and wait times. I'm sneaking in sandwiches next time I go up.

We were there on the final day of the Gondola ride being open for "Summer", Columbus day weekend. Due do Covid we had a Gondola to our selves. Wait times were reasonable. Fall colors were near peak. Not much to do at summit except look down on the sights. Food is overpriced. A very nice experience.

Gore Mountain is a hidden gem! It is beautiful and has runs for all capabilities. It rivals anything in the East. It is a down to earth resort without a lot of frills. People come there to ski and board. We loved this place. Lift lines were never long and the price for senior lift tickets were very good.

Our first trip to Gore Mountain was great--2 days of skiing in late February. The ticketing process was easy. The warm boot tent was a nice amenity, though we never saw any shuttles in the parking area. Saddle Lodge was a fine place for a midday lunch or coffee, without having to come down into the crowds at the base. We highly recommend it.

Registered my 6 year old shy vegetarian grandson for group ski lesson. I was assured when I made the reservation he would be given a vegetarian meal for lunch. Again at check in, we wre told he would be given pizza. At pick up at 3 PM, he was starving. He was served a Hot Dog for lunch. What if this was a food allergy ? After numerous calls to Gore I was told they would do better. Some kind of credit should have bern offered.

I love Gore for trails and constant improvement of the skiing experience. Every year I am pleasantly surprised by the new additions, small but fun changes to the trails (this year terrain park vortexes, mounds of snow near mid-mountain lodge, that before was always an ice plate). And all the employees are so incredibly nice, polite and helpful.
I love Gore Mt. for affordability, number and quality of trails, and super important less crowd (unlike Windham and Hunter). The view at the High Peaks area is priceless.

Husband enjoyed his time on the mountain. The lines on a Friday were excellent and even for a busy Saturday, the mountain didn't seem all that crowded. There is a lot of areas to sit for those who do not ski and great bartenders in the main lodge! Food and beer prices are a bit much but for a weekend away was the least of my worries! I definitely would recommend to ski lovers!

We went late January for a Monday/Tuesday ski trip. Temps were running about 34/35 degrees. We experienced a slight bit of mixed precipitation but nothing serious. The hill was in really good shape considering the lack of snow up to that point in the season. Most trails were open except the glades understandably. The staff was particularly friendly . I even had a gondola attendant compliment my ski outfit and I'm a 65 year old GUY!. Made my day. Overall great experience.

Hello.
My wife does not ski. She stays in the lodge and does her puzzle books and people watches etc. Since we've had two occasions in the last year in which she had no place to hang out I have to ask before we make the trip, are there reasonable places for her to stay and be comfortable while I ski?
Thanks

My only concern with the lodge area is the cell service. If a family member wants to use their device in the lodge to watch videos or FaceTime the cell service is slow or you can't use it at all (Verizon user).

Hello! I see that you try to stay open into April; can you give me a guesstimate as to what percentage of the mountain is open into spring skiing? We are trying to plan a trip out there in late March/early April and I’m just curious as to what we can expect.
Thank you so much!

Sarah,
I have skied New England for over 30 years. In March, there is usually 1 big storm that helps keep all the big resorts open until April. There are a lot of deals that time of year so plan on booking at the last minute. Also, if you are advanced skier worry more about whether the upper part of the mountain is open, as you won’t want to ski the beginner area. They upped their snowmaking recently so the major trails are covered.
Enjoy!

Hi, reelusin. What would you like to know about this attraction?
How long were the lift lines at Gore on the holiday weekend?
Written January 20, 2018
We barely had any lines at all. We were there during the bomb-cyclone, which I guess kept people away. We had the mountain to ourselves!! It was amazing.

Best hotel/resort to stay @ with young kids (4 & 6)? Close to mountain, but also town. Ice skating or extra activities would be a bonus! Thank you :)

Do you offer snow tubing? Will you be open Apr.11~15?
Written February 8, 2017
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in Gore! Unfortunately we do not offer snow tubing. Our April schedule is always dependent on the late season weather, and usually we are open for extended weekends as we get into the middle of that month. Sorry but I cannot guarantee those dates this far in advance.

Are the slopes typically still open first week of April?
Written February 2, 2017
Thank you for reaching out! We are typically open mid to late April, just check ahead because often during that month we might go long weekends and not be open 7 days.

What time are they open till during the winter weekdays? Do they have night runs?
Written November 20, 2016
if you are a beginner, never ski before adult, do you have to pay for a lift ticket? How does it work to just rent ski equipment and test out your never before ski legs? Are there any other activities other than to ski such as, snow tubing or snow mobiles? Help!
Written February 11, 2016
Hi
Can't agree with the two previous responses more, take a lesson. The ski areas want new skiers and the programs are designed exactly for folks who haven't skied before. I've never done it but I've heard it works. I'm not sure about snow mobiles but I think the North Creek Ski bowl (part of Gore located on rt. 28) has snow tubing, I don't think it's open yet so check before you go.... Good luck.

Is there any Cross Country Skiing and rentals at or around Gore Mountain?
Written March 11, 2015
If you go to Gore's website they have a great XC Skiing page that lists the trails.
I believe there is a ski shop on Main Street in North Creek...I would call up there to check for rentals.
