Beautiful and quiet! An undiscovered place with great hiking trails! My husband and I walked the park for 2 hours. We saw the gorgeous waterfalls, and overlapped trails. The foliage in early November was stunning as well.

This fall is a bit hard to see. From the parking area, there is a short trail to a viewing platform, but the waterfall is at an angle, so we decided to hike down to get closer. The hike wasn't too long and the falls were more dramatic from the bottom. The walls of the cliffs are a great sight as well.

We went to Mine Kill on a bit of a whim. The drive through the Schoharie Valley along the creek was beautiful. The park itself was amazing: public pools, disc golf, well maintained trails, boat ramp, kayaking, and clean restrooms. Most surprising may have been that on Labor Day the park was virtually vacant which was fantastic.

We had passed Mine Kill Falls many times. When we finally stopped, we were amazed at the beauty and splendor of the falls. Mom walks with a cane and had no problem with the steps. The walk to the falls is so gorgeous. A lot to see!

On Route 30, watch for the sign that says Mine Kill Falls Overlook. Pull in and park, and take the 1 minute walk to the overlook! Breath-taking view of a natural wonder!

They have the best pool EVER!!! Shhhh don't tell anyone, but if you go there on a Saturday or Sunday in the middle of the summer you'll have the place to yourself! Sparkling clean, a little cool, but that's what you want when its hot outside. They have BRAND NEW Play ground equipment all over the park. Plus if you need motivation to get up and do a little hike - try the Geocache challange.

I went with a group of friends. Most of the time it was only us in the lovely cavernous spot. The walk to it was nice and easy. Perfect for a quick hike with dogs and children. The waterfall was beautiful

We recently spent a day here with our two 7 year old boys. We were camping at nearby Max V. Shaul State Park. We brought a picnic lunch and then headed on to hike to the falls. We had very little idea of how long the hike would take or what kind of terrain it was. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with kids younger than 7 as the path is a bit challenging in parts. There are some steep uphill climbs and some jumping over dried up creek beds. It took us about 1.5 hours to get to the falls and they were gorgeous. We then hiked up to the road and walked over to the overlook area. If you wanted to see the falls without the hike you can drive into that entrance of the state park and walk a short way to the overlook.

After our hike we returned to the park main entrance and took advantage of their Olympic sized pool (free of charge). They have a splash/wading pool for younger children and a separate diving pool. It was the perfect way to cool off.
