We are sad to say that we only had time to visit 3 of the 7 vineyards. But of the ones we did visit, we did enjoy tasting the wonderful wines of the area. Some of the wineries were very close to one another and that helped us very much because of our time restraint. We need to go back!

The Niagara Wine trail is made up of many small, independently owned wineries. You can drive from one to another in your own car, or you can go on-line and book yourself into a day tour. There are many wineries so you must go online to map a route of those that you want to go to. For a small... More

We participated in the Wine and Chocolate tour in February . It was a lot of fun but the wines are not great. The reds seemed better than the wine. If you like sweet wines then you will enjoy it more. There are 16 winery's but it is a long drive from where we were staying at the Falls. We... More

We enjoy checking out the Niagara Wine trail periodically and this past weekend was a special event to benefit different Charities. Called "Niagara's Bounty" participating wineries were either donating their tasting fees towards a charity or collecting food goods and exchanging them for tastings. It wasn't as crowded as some of the events, which was nice because we got to... More

Many many wineries to visit. All have lots of character and charm. Some have food too. We enjoyed the wines as they were nice and dry. The late harvest and Ice wines were also interesting but not cheap.

We were able to participate in the 2015 Hallowine Tour which involved about 15 wineries. You could dress up in your Halloween costume, pick up clues (for a murder mystery) and 3-4 tastings at each winery. Very fun, would totally consider doing it again next year!

The wineries on the American side are nice. Very rural & country-like. The scenery with the trees changing was spectacular. However, we felt the Canadian wineries were more upscale with more of a European or Californian flare.
