My 16 year old daughter and I went to the venue on the first night the band played as they were there 2 nights. The venue is in a "shady" part of town but there was a girl out front taking names and putting a black magic marker number on people's hand to be the first 100 people in. There was drinking, drugs, and within an hour this girl was waking around with no pants. I told my daughter it was time to go as we were huddled in a corner waiting for a cab. The manager and staff came out to go home for the evening. I asked Mark and Grace if this was normal and where the security was. They told us to go home, that this girl did not work for the Theatre, and they would personally make sure we receive a wristband in the morning. We arrived at the appointed time and called Mark as was told. He NEVER ANSWERED HIS PHONE! I really didn't care for the wristband but my daughter held up hope that a man had given his word. We spoke to the very rude girl at the box office who kept saying for 3 hours he knew we were there. Finally, after 4 hours, with n word from Mark or this Justin guy who also gave his word George, a security man came out. He apologized for the situation and said he couldn't get us a band as promised but we would be number 101 and 102. George allowed us to go back to our hotel, change clothes and be back in 1 1/2 hours. If one of those people had just told us that as we sat in front of the venue calling and calling we could have had a fantastic day exploring Niagara Falls. Thanks to them all we did was sit on a curb and loose 40.00 in cab fare coming and going on broken promises. I have nothing to say about the venue.

We came here to see a concert and were very happy with the venue. We had a party of four and the we thought the sound, lighting and seating was very good. We had a balcony table for the four of us, it's first come basis so get there early to get a better table. The restrooms were close by with an upstairs bar area and be careful with the steps at your table. The area outside the Rapids Theatre is a bit sketchy but a police station is right next door. Lots of parking behind the venue but get there early to get your table.

This was a great concert venue! Getting in was efficient, staff and security were all courteous and professional. Bar tender was helpful and friendly. The actual concert (Chevelle) was perfect. The sound quality was amazing. We'll be looking for more concerts out of this theatre. Also, it's beautiful inside, I can understand why they rent it for weddings too.

I purchased concert tickets for a concert that was initially postponed and eventually cancelled. The ticket service (Etix) that Rapids Theatre (venue) used for this show hasn't been able to provide refunds to the ticket buyers (like myself) because the venue is withholding the funds. I haven't received any communication at all from Rapids Theatre and Etix has indicated that they are waiting for Rapids Theatre to provide them with the money from the ticket sales so they can then issue refunds to the paying customers.

I have been going to concerts for 15years maybe more. I have NEVER left a show more disapointed and angry as I did today. What the hell is this nonsense!? Posting set times that are over an hour off!? As well as shortening sets to get everyone out by 11.
We went for Veil Of maya. I love DGD and I wanted to see both. I showed up at just after 8, expecting to have enough time to grab a drink and find a good spot. And then DGD comes out and I find out I missed Veil of Maya bY 20min, rather then being 10min early.
My friends and i Will NEVER go back to the Rapids Theater. That is the second show where the venue changed things from the rest of the tour.
The venue said doors 630, show 730. There should have been 4 bands playing. We got there at 8 hoping to see 3 of the 4. Nope, they decided to put the first band on near 30min early, AND bands sets were all shortened to get people out by 11.

It seems to be located in a somewhat sketchy part of town. It's outside the main tourist area on Main Street which looks like it used to be a sort of bustling small-town, but most of the shops are vacant, boarded up, or just small "filler" stores. Among all this, however, is the Rapids Theater.
It reminds me a lot of Town Ballroom in downtown Buffalo. There is a balcony level with some booths and tables/chairs right along the edge of the balcony for a nice view that's not too far away. Downstairs on the main floor, you got a wrap-around bar in the middle that serves all the drinks. Upstairs also has another, albeit smaller, bar that serves some well drinks & beer.
The decor is very nice and unique. It's quite ornate for this theater, but it's also very well kept, with no signs of chipped or cracked paint. The sound quality was great, as well. The bass reverberates throughout the theater, and the sound is crisp & clear. It holds 1,700 people. It's all standing room downstairs if you're seeing a concert, but more relaxed upstairs with the limited seating. I'd definitely go see another band there again. It just doesn't feel like it's in the best part of town.

Been here twice to see BLUE OCTOBER and would come back to check out other shows. Sound and lighting is always great and the staff is top notch. Very accommodating to my mother who wanted a chair (there were none set up for the show) and allowed us to sit in an elevated area so she could still see the stage.

When first driving up to the Rapids Theatre, I almost thought we were in the wrong area. Sadly this gem is located in a run down area (beautiful building across from the theatre which is boarded up, would be a stunning loft i'm sure!) of Buffalo.
There is ample parking behind the theatre and some street parking out infront. From the outside, didn't think much of it, but once you step inside, you see the beauty and it made me happy to see they kept it up.
We were there for a wedding, and it was a great venue. Their wedding had about 100 people, and were seated on opposite sides of the theatre (dance floor in the middle) and the wedding party sat at the head table, located on the stage. They also had AV capabilities that allowed people to see everything that was going on the stage no matter where you sat or if someone was blocking your view).
I can see this place being a fun intimate venue for live music and of course theatre.
We were told tales of ghosts (friendly!) that reside in this building! If I am ever in the area again, would love to find out more about the history of this building.

Went to spend NYE 2019 across the border with one of the greatest bands of all time. Beautiful theatre and good views from all around. Friendly staff.
