The views and proximity to the river are unsurpassed but the climb down and up the gorge is steep and difficult. Paths are not smooth. A wonderful park but only for those able to climb stairs and maneuver around tree stumps etc.

Walked down the Devil steps and walked along the water to the park. Spent a few hours enjoying the views. Bring some good shoes. The rocks can be slippery.

This is a quick stop- maybe 15 minutes- on the way to other spaces, but it’s definitely scenic! The water was sooo beautiful. The overlook was beautiful for photos.

Just a few miles from Niagara Falls and a beautiful drive on th Niagara Scenic Parkway, Whirlpool State Park has a gorgeous view of a natural whirlpool in the Niagara River. A paved, easy path to an overlook and a nice playground for kids.

I had never been here and thus I've never seen the Whirlpool before. Now granted it really does whirl much, but such a beautiful view of the river. We almost didn't stop as we had read a review somewhere that someone had posted as it...More

Whirlpool State Park offers some great hikes, away from the touristy Niagara area. You also find some great bike paths here. The views are amazing.

Whirlpool is an excellent alternative to the hustle and bustle of the falls, lovely tranquil walks, spectacular views of the whirlpools, just serves as a reminder of the sheer power and beauty of nature
