This is a very interesting site in that the small lake that forms is an entrapment off the river that has a clock wise or counter clock wise movement depending on time of day and water falls flow. Incredible what nature can do.

Recently we toured this park and enjoyed the tour guides telling about the history of the falls and the whirlpool park. Be sure to check this out. It is worth it.

This was a stop during our bus tour, but we didn't get much out of it. I was expecting to see a good size whirlpool, but I didn't notice much action.

Park for free. Bathrooms and water fountain and great info stations. Walk straight out from the building and slightly left for an amazing view of the whirlpool. We hiked .6 miles our further to the left and really enjoyed it. Mostly shady, well worn path but fantastic viewing of the rapids and lovely hike with 10 and 14 year old.

My wife and I stopped here at the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. At first glance, it looks like just a regular small park overlooking the river but upon discovering the stairs leading down to the water, it opened up an entire new experience. First let me tell you that, make sure you're up to the... More

Just a few minutes down the road from Niagara Falls State Park. There is plenty of parking the park is free. There is a trail along the gorge with great views of the river. At one overlook, it looks like the river just ends in a cul de sac formation. You can't really see where it goes. This is worth... More
