    Gem of a Museum!
What a great gem! Went to visit this unknown museum on a Sunday and ended up spending the whole day there! The museum has a (small) collection of planes from the early 1900s to WWII to rocket engines and helicopters. Our docent Walter was one of the most knowledgeable docents I've met at any museum, and as a former pilot added lots of insight. The collection has lots of references and photos of the connection of the aviation industry to the Buffalo region. Who knew that Consolidated Aircraft, makers of the B-24, started in Buffalo? Who knew that all the X planes, from the X1 to the X15, were designed by Bell in Niagara Falls? Walter offered insight as to why Glenn Curtiss moved his Curtiss Airplane factory from little Hammondsport, NY at the start of WWI to Niagara Falls. Will definitely be going back for another visit soon!

    Worth a VIsit!
We had been to this museum many years ago. My husband more or less accidentally stumbled upon its web site, and we decided to go again. It was an interesting museum to visit, even if you are not an aviation fan. There's lots of local Buffalo regional history, and our docent Walt was really interesting.

Well worth the visit. A gem of a museum .
We spent two hours here and could have made it longer but it was closing time. My sons are 21 & 24, their grandparents and myself really enjoyed it. A volunteer, Walter L. Was our guide and we all feel we were fortunate to have been able to meet him. He entertained with stories and got into the details of engine function, various planes and also much more. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet him and appreciate the time he spent answering questions and also debating thoughts about various aircraft. Our “boys” and my dad(their grandfather) were captivated. We highly recommend a visit here. The exhibits are very well done and the staff and volunteers were wonderful.

I had an amazing and unforgettable experience in this museum during my weekend there !
You could be easily stunned by the history of this place between the birth of Bell helicopter and 3 rare helicopters, the test flight of the experimental us navy x-22, the place of the beginning of Curtiss engines or the story of the sound barrier and the Bell X-1 which broke it.
I would to thank my two amazing guides : David who gave me the best introduction and the best seat for the Saturday conference and Walter for his incredible stories and knowledge about these artefacts and historical events. I would like to thank Don for his hospitality and finally Erick for an unforgettable final and special tour !
This museum reminds me that aviation has no frontiers, no limits and even the sky could not hold you if you have the good rocket !
Thanks everyone and see you ✌🚁

We had a great time visiting this museum for my Dad’s birthday. Walter was incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with a wonderful free tour of the facility. His back stories added tremendously beyond the plaques on the walls.

This was an ok little museum in the old summit park mall. The staff was nice and my kids liked the airplane displays. I think it helped we are a military family. It was small and I wouldn't go here to spend the day but it's a fun little side trip if you're out here already.

We visited this small non-profit museum run by volunteers and were impressed by the collection of items telling the story of NY state's contribution to flight through history. We received a friendly greeting upon entering the museum and met Walter who became our guide. Interesting and well thought out displays through history with personal stories showing the human aspect of aviation in addition to the technical side. Would have liked to spend more time here.

We drove from Toronto to take a trip to Buffalo and visited the museum where we were pleasantly surprised. Thanks to Walter L, we had such an amazing experience. He is knowledgeable about all the history, science and practicality of the industry and he showed us “behind the scenes” stuff that made it more memorable and engaging. Our two teenagers also enjoyed the trip and all the information provided by Walter. Walter is a volunteer and takes his time showing you around and does it in the kindest way and his passion for the museum is refreshing. This is a world of planes, helicopters, NASA and space exploration and I recommend adding it to your list of must-see places in Buffalo. Parking is free. It is a great way to spend your afternoon there. Thank you again Walter.

I have seen the progression over the years of how the Niagara Aerospace Museum moved from the Summit Mall, to the Casino, and finally to its new location at the Niagara Falls Airport and I am happy to see it finally has a permanent home. Western New York has a lot of Aviation History and this museum highlights the many people who built up our national air and space power. Displays of industry, aircraft build locally, and the people behind the industry all come to life at this museum. If you desire to learn more how Western New York influenced aviation, this is the place to visit!
