Nice view and trail

My husband was excited that we could take a trail down to the river, he even found a cave. Views were great

Downhill it is a piece of cake, but back you have toe have a good condition and good shoewear. Don't go down the there on flip flops. I am experienced!

Of all the times we visited the falls,I never realized this was here and how beautiful the scenery is. Will definitely visit again.

We enjoyed this park as well. The scenery is beautiful with many nice photo opportunities. The steps were somewhat intimidating to anyone not in very good health and I would not recommend anyone with bad knees to attempt farther than the first landing. But it is ideal for anyone wanting a fitness hike!

The park doesn't have that much to offer that a view of the Devil's Hole as it is called. It's the deepest part of the Niagara River, and it creates a massive, but fairly slow rotating, whirlpool. The river then turns about 150 degrees and flows further downstream.

Quiet park with a nice, shady trail along the river. Nothing exceptional to see here, but a pleasant break after the crowds and volume of the falls. You can see where the jet boat tours play in the rapids from the trail.

The steps near the Whirlpool Park were under construction, so we drove down to Devil's Hole to start the hike. Take the steps down to the river and walk up river for a really nice hike. Most of it is pretty flat and easy (except for the steps at the beginning and end), but closer to the whirlpool you start... More

What a fantastic hike! The stairs down are a bit narrow and steep at places. Once you descend to the bottom follow the trail to the left. Climbing the rocks was fun and once you get to the flat rock vistas the sound and sight of the rapids is a unique experience. The trip up the stairs is a good... More

The hike down the gorge was just beautiful albeit an exertion, with the many many steps to climb, not recommended for the faint hearted! The hike along the river to the whirlpool was gorgeous, sometimes easy and flat and some places really hard negotiating boulders, rocks and uneven terrain, a great workout with spectacular views and the music of the... We stayed up top and didn't descend into the gorge but we had nice views into the gorge and of the power station and jet boats rushing headlong into the rapids.
