It was a very good but very short experience. It is a must try when in Niagara. However, you need to tighten your raincoats because you will be soaked through and through with the waterfall.

A must do activity. They bring you right close to the falls. They also give you a poncho so you don't get wet.

We had heard a lot about the Maid of the Mist tour but when we did the tour it was more than we expected. Breathtaking is an understatement.

The Maid of the Mist is by far the best way to see the falls up close & personal. The lines can be long in the summer, so I highly recommend purchasing your tickets ahead of time online. Everyone gets a souvenir poncho before boarding...More

The opening date each year depends on ice conditions in the river. It is very possible that the boats will be operating on April 24th.

Their website says the opening day is determined by when there is no more ice flow on the river. By that date the I e should be long gone and they should be open.

The Maid of the Mist relies heavily on the weather, in the winter it is not a good idea to utilise the trip. As a result, the operators would not run the experience and would open the ride depending on the conditions... More
