NY side ferSure! They are running fully electric boats for these tours and the staff was helpful. Pre-purchase online, it says to go to the ticket office to exchange but you can do it right at the ticket boot, main check-in. We found that, after the boat tour the added hike option up the crows nest (I think that is what it was being called) was a BONUS for mist, getting soaked and some great pictures

This is a must, the best part of our trip. It is a long walk to get there, but it is so worth it, the only problem is it does not last that long and if you do not want to get drenched make sure you wear the rain coat they provide. we didnt but we loved it. the people are so nice and very helpful, I am in a wheel chair and they was so accomadating. We all enjoyed it and it was so fun.

We had a great experience riding the boat on the top deck! Definitely got soaked! It was a challenge though finding the boat dock through the park. Also, parking in the area was a bit difficult. But once we found it, it was great!
