Easy on and off, and a very nice view of the Hudson River.

It is great to walk or bike across the span. The passing traffic can be very loud but the view of our majestic Hudson River and surrounding cliffs, boats, island etc are worth a little noise. In October the leaves will be changing and the view will be Autumnly spectacular

I was in the Hudson Valley on family business, I lived in the HR Valley for 28 years before moving to Western NY. I'm more familiar with the more northern bridges, The FDR/Mid-Hudson bridge between Highland and Poughkeepsie, and the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge further up. I don't have an EZ Pass since in Western NY, unless one is traveling extensively on... More

I have crossed this bridge a couple of times during my stay in Newburgh to get to Brewster. An amazing cool sight!! If you crossed on the way back to Newburgh it is soo awesome. Would love to take a picture next time!

I take this bridge regularly when I ride my bike. The bike path is not heavily used, and the pedestrians usually give way. There are also fantastic views of the Hudson from the bridge. For Fourth of July this is the greatest place to come watch the fireworks

While driving on I-84, I crossed the Hudson River on this bridge. What can I say, the bridge did keep us from driving into the river.

I have crossed this bridge 10,000 times. It opened in the early 1960s. Prior to that event, the crossing was made via car ferry which I very much miss to this day. If you are driving across for the first time, I do not recommend attempting to take in the scenery, it is far too dangerous. However, if you are... More

The bridge is a life line from Orange to Dutchess and points East. Commuters use - both those heading to NYC and Mass Pike.

Most times the traffic on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge flows fine now that most of the construction is over.

This bridge is better known as the Newburgh Beacon Bridge. It's a good example of a continuous truss bridge.

This is the main route that carries Route 84 from Hartford, CT to Wilkes-Barre PA. The view from the top is amazing and after reading the reviews here, I need to try to walk it some clear day to take pictures. I can imagine it would be very noisy walking the bridge as many tractor trailers use the bridge due... More
