Deepest spot in the river at 113 ft is ideal for scuba diving for the advanced diver. Canoeing and fishing is great also

The river is beautiful not only for it's clean water but for boating and eagle watching. A trip down the river can show wildlife from deer, bear , geese and ducks to the majestic bald eagle. The scuba diving at what is known as the hole is interesting and is believed to be from possibly a glacier water fall during... More

We cruised through here on our motorcycle trip. It's a beautiful area. It's so quiet and peaceful. We are looking forward to coming through on our next trip.

If you happen to be in the upper Delaware River Region ad want to have an exciting/relaxing few hours exploring unique shops, having a quick bite and viewing some beautiful riverscape - then you should visit Narrowsburg. I often stop in at least once a month to have lunch, grab a cup of coffee or to shop in the very... More

Kayaked from Deposit, NY to Dingman's Ferry, PA over 5 days. The river is beautiful for 85% of the 104 miles that we ran. The west branch (Deposit to Hancock) was nice, but there was a lot of "lake water"...paddling flat water with a headwind for 34 miles in one day was tough, but the only campground I could find... The Delaware river is a scenic and exciting place for a canoe, kayak, or raft trip. From Hancock to Narrowsburg we saw possibly 20 eagles, many geese and Mergansers, some beaver, deer grazing in the shallows. If possible schedule midweek and you can have the river to yourself.

I loved looking at the river and the bridges that crossed the river. We viewed quite a bit of wildlife around the river, which included whitetailed deer, wild turkeys, a fox, a skunk, red tailed hawks and a nesting pair of bald eagles with two babies in the nest. We drove over 70 miles of the river looking for unique... More

The Upper Delaware River is stunning and there are so many activities you can soak in while you're visiting - kayaking, canoeing, and hiking are just a few. The water is clean and the air is fresh. There are hundreds of acres to hike on too!

Plenty of nature photo options. From the rivers, rocks, trees, open plain areas, parks, and bridges.

The scenic byway along the eastern bank of the Delaware River is stunning, with the road running very close to the river many points and high above it at others. We traveled the length of the byway during foliage season, and it was one of our most memorable drives. The small park at the site of the Delaware-Hudson Canal is... More
