A fantastic place that I can only compare to Yorkshire Sculpture Park or the open sculpture events at Chatsworth Hall Derbyshire but on MUCH larger scale with the beautiful backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains. The admission was $15 each and for this we had a great day out seeing lovely sculptures in beautiful settings including work by Roy Leichenstein and... More

I am not an artist, I just like looking at interesting things. The art here is cool to look at. Some is a little abstract for a couple members of my family. But even if you don't go for the art, the grounds and the views are amazing! The grounds of the art center are spread out all over. You... More

This place is just FANTASTIC.... KUDOS!!! to Storm King Arts Center. It took us four hours to visit but all worth it. The day was great. Lots of walking. We prefer to rent bikes and I was great. Still you have to walk since biking is not allowed on the grass to preserve the grounds (Great Idea). If the day... More

This was a fantastic treat...walking thru this beautiful park with its grand sculptures. The scenery was breath-taking and the walking paths very comfortable. We also took a train ride thru with our grand-son who was delighted with it. It was an remarkable day with magnificent sculptures!

Make sure you go on a beautiful day because you will be walking a lot! I suggest taking the tram to see an overview of the grounds first then walking through the parts that you want to investigate. Tram available to elderly and families with young children first. We attended on a weekday so it wasn't full. There were quite... More

First, a shout out to Shane H whose review said to walk not bike. We took the advice and it was excellent. Walking was pleasant and allowed easy access to the sculptures. We are not art experts - not even close - but we enjoyed sharing our uneducated views on the quality of the work with each other. Really, don't... More

I have been wanting to see this for a couple of years but my husband is not a fan of art exhibits. He agreed to go with me so possibly my review was slanted since he wasn't too happy to go with me. I did love the sculpture pieces but you need to do some serious walking to get the... More

We really enjoyed it. The grounds are lovely and well makntained. The day was really hot, I would wait until cooler weather if I went again. The cafe was a welcome stop, very nice.

This is a great experience for art lovers and a great break from the busy Manhattan pace. Take a full day to enjoy the experience; families with small kids will be advised to take plenty of cold drinks and breaks. RN-2015

This is an amazing place where art and nature come together. The sculptures are very very big and they just seem to feel at home in the vast fields and among tall trees. There is a great trolly , bike rentals and wonderful hiking opportunities.
