It was the first time I ever tried a floatation tank. Rise Above Floatation was the perfect place. It was very clean. The receptionist (sorry I forgot his name) gave very clear instructions and was very helpful. At first, I was a little scared when I took off the light because it is pitch black but once I relaxed, I was fine. My friend who has chronic pain really enjoyed it because she felt pain free for some time.

This place is really inviting from the second you walk in the door. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. I opted for the open float room (hoping to resolve my claustrophobic fears and graduate to the pod one day). After my rain shower I settled into the warm water and ambient music of the tank - true zen. The 60 minute floating session is a great way to quiet the mind and minimize unnecessary distractions. The private rooms allow you to disconnect from irrelevant disturbances and calm your mind. I highly recommend floating for anyone looking to hit the reset button.
