On the way towards Montauk Point you'll come across a small park called Shadmoor. This is worth a stop and if you pass it, you're missing on on some of the most fascinating views on the eastern seaboard. The trails are easy, start off on Shad Lane and veer to your right to the Roosevelt Run trail. When you come... More

Bring your hikers. Great trails along the cliffs with breath taking views of ocean and beach. Can see lighthouse in distance.

If staying near/in Montauk Village, you can walk to this park from your motel/condo. Well marked trails (although some a bit rutted in places), not strenuous at all, leading to a stunning beach view on the bluffs. Remember though, wear long pants and sleeves to avoid being bitten by a deer tick - they are abundant in this area.

Great, beautiful hiking spot. I was there for an hour today and got OVER 20 ticks. I stayed on the trail, didn't brush up against any trees. The ticks are very bad this year in Montauk. They are so tiny you can barely see them, as small as a pin point!!! CHECK YOURSELF AFTER HIKING especially on a windy day!!!!!

Went here on a whim and was so glad we did. The walk takes you along the ocean and thru some nice trails. There are two bunkers standing from war times that soldiers would watch for invaders from. So theres some history here. Roosevelt walked thru here as well. Along the ocean path youll see amazing bluffs that are incredible.... More

Favorite spot in Montauk! Panoramic view in all directions. Was saved from development approximately 15 years ago.

Beautiful views. Nice trails. Climb down a cliff to get to the beach. The "hike" to the bluff was not that taxing. If you are properly dressed it seems like a leisurely stroll. When you get to the bluffs they have a barrier, an easy to get over barrier. I saw a few people descend the steep bluffs and I... More

Great for a short hike with few narrow trails. Beautiful view of the ocean from the bluffs. Otherwise, you can hike up to a WWll bunker on the hill which you can't enter but it makes for an interesting place to visit.
