This is the first beach you come to on the right hand side when you drive in to Montauk. There's free parking and a long stretch of beach. That's about it. Sand is soft, waves get a little rough in the afternoon, and the only other recreation in the area is a volleyball net. That being said, what more could... More

The beach is clean. Friendly atmosphere. Plenty of restaurants in the area with good food. Commuting can be difficult to the east end of long island due to having only a single lane for several miles but it's worth it.

Come here and I dare you to prove me wrong. All the beauty that Long Island beaches can offer without the hype of the hamptons. Heaven!

We were visiting Montauk for a few hours and wanted to sit on the beach to eat lunch. There is limited parking and public beach access so Kirk Park provided an excellent opportunity to park and access the beach directly over the sand dune in front of the parking lot. The beach is wide and long and there are lifeguards... More

We took the kids for a long walk. Beautiful scenery, including sunset at night. The beach is popular with locals and tourists. Lots of dog walkers too!

A lot of beaches in Montauk require you to have a permit. Kirk Beach allows you to park in the lot , equipped with bathrooms and IGA next door to shop and grab ice for your cooler along with some goodies to enjoy while hanging on the beach. Great time at the ocean is always nice when you don't have... More

This place is like a hidden gem in long island. This is free public beach with free parking. This beach is very clean and has shower/bathroom facilities, though limited. The waves are decent and the view is good too.

Very clean beach, wide open area with surfing options. Easy access off of Montauk Highway with plenty of free parking - no beach pass required. Public bathrooms were open and it's right next to the local grocery store.

One of the only free beaches on the South Shore of Long Island, Kirk Beach even comes manned with Lifeguards. Clean and not too crowded, this large beach is a nice place to come play in the waves or just relax on the soft sand. There were no surfers and no grumbling locals. More and more over the years though,... More
