For Montauk residents only... I do not understand how public beaches are suddenly turned private for town residents only... we have beautiful parks where I’m from but you don’t see us hoarding it. Won’t be spending my money in this town again. Last vacation we take to this area. Would give this place zero stars if I could.

Have been going to this beautiful PUBLIC beach for years and always parked in the PUBLIC parking lot which is no longer a public lot. I spoke with the traffic officer and asked where the signage was and she directed me to a small sign obstructed by a pine tree, not visible upon entry into the lot. There were no signs within the lot or marking the spaces or any postings of notification of this change to the PUBLiC. She indicated due to Covid they made the parking lot private which is nonsense since there are still the same number of parking spaces only for East Hampton town residents. The fine is $150 and is going to have a negative impact on local businesses that appreciate PUBLIC nonresident patronage especially during this pandemic. Its a public beach and no public parking. Street parking is limited to 2 hours if you are lucky enough to find one of these spots. SHAME SHAME!

I’ve been coming here for years and appreciated the free public parking. Went yesterday and got hit with $150 ticket; apparently one needs to be East Hampton resident. Shame on them!

No Place to Park anymore. Parking lot which was Public has turned into Town of East Hampton only with a tiny sign at entrance to lot. $150 ticket if you miss sign. Perhaps this will change in 2021 when COVD 19 disappears

A bit narrow compared to other beaches In the area but it’s stunning non the less. Many enter ways to the beach. Recommended
