To think that this could have been 1400 tract houses instead of this magnificent public park! Historic and spacious, this is worth a visit.

The best part of this park is the bike hostel. Lots of stuff in the museum, and you can imagine how things were in the time of Roosevelt.

nothing to see, nothing to do, never open. I don*t exactly what this place is supposed to be. My wife a seniors who visit Montauk frequently and have stopped at this location a number of times, it is usually closed with nobody around. The one time the building was open we walked around the main house; there was nothing but... More

I liked the grasses and habitat. It looks like it is nicely-managed. It was a very windy day, and we did not see many land birds. I am sure that the bushes and trees were good places for them to hide and take shelter from the wind. In the past I have see many species of birds in that park.

with the connection to Gin Beach, this beautiful strip of beach can produce fish all year. The camper crowd loves it and during season , is crowded with families enjoying themselves and thier neighbors. Love this beach, no waves usually, not too much current unless out near the point.

Theodore Roosevelt county park, adjacent to the village of Montauk and numerous other nature preserves farther east, is a perfect location to hike, bike, horse back ride, and enjoy the great outdoors. The trail begins at third house, one of the historical landmarks of Montauk, and winds upward through bucolic fields and pastures to the summit of a hill. From... More

Me and my friend love bike riding, so when we found this beautiful, lush park, we were a bit perplexed. We followed the trail as best we could but inevitably got lost. We covered so much terrain, from rocks, sand, woodchips and everything in between. It was starting to get late and I must say I was getting worried, so... More
