Nice lighthouse, wonderful scenery with great views marking the end of Long Island. Disappointing that they charge to park and then charge again to get into the lighthouse.

The lighthouse at Montauk Point State Park offers great views of the ocean. On a clear day, you can see Block Island. My husband and I bike the trip from the East Deck. It is a hilly ride, but a great work out.

Relatively recent renovation. Good family activity with beautiful landscape and scenery. Good rocky beach below. There is a parking fee as in all state parks. Nice Lighthouse.

A wonderful place to explore the beach and enjoy watching the fishing boats hard at work. Don't miss the climb to the top of the lighthouse for the view.

Yes, you have to pay to park, but only until 4pm. After that, you can park for free. The views are breathtaking. The ocean in all its glory. The nature walk is a must here. Put your walking shoes on and enjoy the park. The lighthouse is magnificent, but a separate fee for entering.

My husband and I visited Montauk Point on Labor Day weekend (2015). We got there pretty early around 10 and it was not that crowded. You have to pay $8 for parking and then again to get into the lighthouse. The area is very pretty and the beach and bluffs were picturesque. The climb to the top of the lighthouse... More

When you go to Montauk ... the classic bumper sticker/magnet boldly states "MTK The End". But when you go the the lighthouse ... you quickly think what a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean... and you learn through its history that's it's the first lighthouse commissioned by President Washington of the newly formed 'United States' hence "the beginning"! Each season... More

nice place, beautiful view if you are a into taking photos. but I found the ticket to go inside the lighthouse kind of a bit expensive. I guess they should reconsider that.

Few Long Islanders make it out this far to its eastern tip. It is one of the most remote light houses, a shame that an admission fee is charged. Approaching Long Island from the north or east or Block Island Sound this landmark always has special significance as it stands strong and majestically.
