Great beach

Beautiful and rugged. Great place to watch the surfers or surf if you do... What's not to love! Bring your towel and your camera.

"Ditch" is a rock bottom break that has been a draw for over 50 years. Parking is very limited and need Easthampton permit in season. Good vibe. The entire south side , starting at Ditch , is a rock bottom /point break all the way around lighthouse ( 4+ miles ). Can hold a big swell !

Great place to walk along the beach in the morning drinking your coffee. Watch the surfers and meet the locals and their dogs.

Clean & wide beach, something for everyone with rocks, unique shells and surfers. Cliffs are amazing to see. You need a beach pass - signs warn of a $150 fee if you do not have a visible pass on your car's dashboard.

Stopped by "The Ditch" while on a recent 5 day fishing trip to Montauk. We rented a board and hit it for the afternoon/evening surfing. Although there is still some very definite signs of erosion since "Sandy" the place still has a mystique all to it own. Lots of surfers, families, and pets but still plenty of great surf. Top... One of Montauk's best beaches. It is spectacular and dramatic and great place to enjoy the sun and the surf. When the surfs up, the surfers are out and riding the beautiful waves of the Atlantic. It is a bit out of the way but worth it. Because of this beaches popularity, parking is a bit of a pain The... More
