Worth the visit. Great views and at the very tip of Long Island. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse if you wish.

What an awesome experience! The power of the 50 mph wind and the raging 17 ft Seas. Unfortunately the light house was closed. I would have loved to have that view. Need to return in blue sky weather.

Unfortunately when we went it was closed. The closest we could get was to the closed sign. We were excited to see the actual lighthouse but we think it was closed since the weather was “not permitting”. We recommend you double check even if the...More

A gorgeous view of the water but even in the off season, the $8 to park and the $11 to walk up the lighthouse wasn't worth it. Look at it from afar and enjoy the rest of the views from the scenic overlook.

This lighthouse is beautiful. The view of the Atlantic Ocean is breathtaking. The complex has bike racks and is biking distance from the city center. There is also a nature learning center on site, which may be of interest to children.

The lighthouse is about 5 to 6 miles from the town of montauk. That is quite a long walk.
