The View

I am constantly in awe of the views from the lighthouse. Walking along the rocks, overlooking the ocean is an amazing experience.

I love the lighthouse there is great fishing down in front on the rocks but be careful because they are slippery the entrance fee to the lighthouse is on the expensive side but if you've never been you should do it at least once you can't beat the view.

I have been visiting this location since my childhood. And it is never "old". Whether it's seal watching season or visiting the beach covered in snow...there is always something majestic about the Light House. Fun places to eat nearby. A beautiful drive. And a water scene like no other.

An idyllic spot. Take a walk around the rocks on the point, watch the fishermen angling for stripers, enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean, sit on a bench overlooking the beach, climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. An East End treasure.

It's a nice drive from the shops in Montauk out to the lighthouse. Beautiful outlook from the top of the lighthouse (just remember - no heels!)

Beautiful scenery year round. There is a rocky beach north of the left of the lighthouse and a more sandy beach with rocks and boulders to decrease erosion...south..to the right

When I adventure to Montauk Point, I always look right. When the waves are rolling in its is quite a site to see. Every time I leave to head back to NYC I always stop by to envision a picture which I capture in my head for harder days ahead. It keeps me level until the next time I'm out... More

Although we could not see much in the middle of a blizzard in early January, this lighthouse still looked regal and gorgeous. We plan to come back in the summertime, but this area, Montauk Point, is priceless any time of the year!

Most people plan to watch the ball drop at home or venture into NYC and freeze their tushes off but not us. A 3 day weekend and it is time to head out East, especially during the off season when the tourist are not swarming the small towns. For the second year in a row we all made the trek... More
