Our day with the crew from Catamaran Cruises was so much fun! The crew is incredibly welcoming, by the end of the day all guests onboard (approx 24 of us, 7 or 8 different groups) from across the globe were dancing and singing together like old friends. I have to commend Scott and Roman for their hospitality and amazing service.
The route is lovely, from embarkation you head out to snorkel in the beautiful blue water, then you go for a quick looksee at the waterfall at Grand River South East. We didn't get close to the waterfall, due to the catamarans size, so keep that in mind if you expect to get up close with the flowing water.
Next we enjoyed an amazing lunch onboard which Roman had expertly prepared for us. Throughout the journey Roman and Scott are offering top ups of drinks and checking in to see how they can assist. The final stop for the day was a 2 hour visit on Isle Aux Cerfs. The island is an opportunity to put your feet on solid ground for a short while. We visited the beach bar, which is well developed and you can pay with bank cards, so no need to have cash on hand. We also cooled off by swimming in the lagoon. The island wasn't too busy, so that was also a bonus.
As our afternoon wrapped up and we headed back to port the crew got the party started by playing music and creating an awesome party vibe.
It was a day we will never forget and it wouldn't have been nearly as great without the expert team on hand to look after us. Thank you so much!

We booked the trip to Il aux cerf through the tour company at our hotel. The catamaran was amazing and the staff incredibly helpful and attentive. It was a rainy day but that didn’t bother us. The cat has sides that can zip down and clip in to shelter you from the wind and the rain. The food was amazing and there was always snacks and drinks available. We even saw dolphins while sailing. Snorkeling and the waterfall waterfall was fun. We even saw monkeys. The stop on the island was fun and a quick walk to the other side of the island we found a beautiful beach that was good for swimming. We got picked up again with the cat and headed back. The sail back was relaxing and fun and I would highly recommend this day trip. Sitting on the trampolines in front of the cat was so much fun and you can get a nice tan going. All in all an amazing boat and staff!!

Went on a catamaran trip to ils a cerf. Started next to our hotel, preskil island.

It’s a lovely relaxing day. Beautiful snorkelling, all the drink you need and nice lunch.

Time at cerf is good but if you plan water sports/parasailing I’d try to spend more time here.

The lads on the catamaran were great. Very friendly.

Scenery is beautiful.

Overall one of our favourite days.

Booked a Catamaran Cruise for the day to Ile aux Benitiers on a shard basis and it was fantastic. We booked transport too and from our hotel - the communication with Prescilla was excellent, precise and quick when arranging this. The taxi was on time to pick us up and the driver told us all about the Island and it’s history.
The Cat tour was 5* - the crew, the service, bbq and cleanliness on board. We managed to see the dolphins too! Plenty of time to swim and snorkel or just chill onboard . We had an amazing day and I could not have expected anything more. Well done to the staff and crew - it was a day we will remember for a long time. Thank you

Did a full day Catamaran tour to the 3 north islands with VaVaVoom Cruises, they were awesome and service is their specialty. Only thing to remember is to take your own snorkeling equipment. But food and drink are plentiful. We even got to see the turtles

We had a full day catamaran cruise in the west to ile aux benetiere. The booking was easy and the customer service before was perfect.

The crew and the service on the catamaran (especially from the crewmembers Greg and Frédéric) was very kind. They made the trip something unforgettable for us.

Food and drinks were perfect.

When we are on Mauritius next time we will book our next trip with catamaran cruises.

During our holiday at Mauritius we wanted like many others to do a catamaran cruise as this seem to be one of the "must do activities". As we travel with our 2 1/2 year old daughter we were looking for a cruise that was close to shore and somewhat calmer than the oceangoing trips, as well with the possibility to be on a sandy beach to swim in calm waters. We selected Catamaran Cruises do to the extremly good feedback here on Tripadvisor and found a trip with them to the Bernache Island that was inside the lagoon and ot sounded perfect. we booked the cruise through their website, selected a day with availability wich was by coinsident the following day, and paid with our cc on the booking site. Oposit of what many have reported here on TA, we did not get any quick reply from Catamaran Cruises. We did the booking around noon and at 6PM we still had not heard anything back. We tried to call the contact number on their site seberal times with only response by an automatic voicemail where we left messages. Tried to send emails, as well as to use the online chat with the booking company they use, AnyGuide in the US. The only response was through AnyGuide but they not get hold of anyone at Catamaran Cruises either to confirm our booking. Only at about 8PM, more than 8 hours after our booking, we got an email saying the cruise we booked did not have any availability any more but instead they recommended a cruise to Flat Island, Ilot Gabriel and Gunners Point. I assumed they had read our comment in the booking about us bringing our 2 1/2 year old daughter and that they found this to be a suitable cruise to bring her. I was wrong.
We left Grand Baie about 0830 and arrived the Flat Island at 1015. This was the most horrifying hours in my daugthers life ever. It was strong wind and a lot of waves hitting us in the bow, so the captain had to run at full speed with engines into the waves and the boat was shaking and rumbling a lot. The first 10-15 minuttes most passengers thought it was exiting, but as the seas got worse most people were just trying to cope with the waves. Many people got sick and it was vomit all over the boat that the crew as good as they could, cover with some towels instead of cleaning up. The three other children around us were sittining sitting with their parents being scared, and my poor daughter just cried for two hous straight wanting to go home without any of us being able to do anything about the situation. I think any parent can put them self into this situation and agree this is nothing any kid would need to experience.
I know that by now most readers think that this reviewer are a person not used to ocean and waves and probaly are overreacting. I therefore like to add that my academic background actually are navigation, and that I am born and raised with boats in the artic ocean in Norway. At home we have our own boat and I often bring my family out on the ocean. If I worked at this cruise company, I would never recommend families this trip, as this is out in the open ocean. And if I was the captain on this catamaran I would have known how the wind and weather was, and how the boat and passengers would react to it, and strongly adviced the families with the smaller children against going on this trip. I guess Catamaran Cruises are more conserned by the revenue loss this wold have given them.
When that is said I also want to add that neither of the destinations on this trip are suitable for young children. The beaches are full of sharp coral pieces and rocks in the sand and while most adults and teenagers would find their way throgh this, it is not good for neither small children feet, nor parents carrying small children (as shoes and sandals are left before you enter the boat). The water in all three locations have quite strong current and not possible for smaler children to swin alone.

All in all it should ben obvious for both the company and the crew that this is not a trip for families with smaller children and should first of all informed about this in the web/booking site, and for sure not recommended it as an alternative to the other trip.

As a general comment to th cruise was that the boat was completely filled up with passengers. Imdid not count but belive it was more than the maximum 17 they claim on their site on the this trip. Lunch was onboard so it was very crowded toeat and get food. The quality of the food was not as impressive as a barbecue sounds like. The fish was best, fresh and ok taste, but chicken legs and sausage did not impress. The trip back was less rock, but instead the crew turnd up the volume of the music to a level that fitted the teenager and young adults onboard that had enjoyed free beer, wine and rum, better than families with small children.

This is a cruise for adults an tenagers that like adventures, a bumpy ride and loud music. Families stay away.

Neither crew nor the company have attempted to respond to our complaints even if we at several occasions tried to give our feedback. I would recommend this company to any one.

This was the MOST DISAPPOINTING part of our recent trip to Mauritius. We had booked a full day cruise well in advance and we reached the pick up point on schedule on given day only to find out that we WERE NOT GOING TO BE PICKED UP because no boat arrived. We were not informed on email or by phone. When we called Catamaran Cruise, Priscilla simply apologised saying that they are full and will give us a refund. They had absolutely no regret of any kind and did not offer any other activity for that day in order to compensate. We were travelling with elderly parents who are not likely to go back to Mauritius again. I certainly DO NOT recommend them because of their unprofessional attitude.

We did the Cat Cruise, full day to Ile aux Cerfs. We booked through Coquille Bonheur and they did the transfer from our hotel to the dock.
Cannot recommend this outing enough! There were about 30 of us onboard but we all found space. Crew were amazing, the stop for snorkeling was FANTASTIC, trip to waterfall was fun, Ile aux Cerfs as an island is boring but at least we only had 1.5 hours there - touristy shops, pricey restaurants, paid-for-deck-chairs, severely overpriced water sports.

The team were attentive and really seemed to care. They took charge, communicated clearly and were very professional. Lunch was OK but nearly ran out as I think some people took larger portions than they should have. Drinks were great and plentiful, even cake and coffee. Amazing day out!!!
