OK, so I visited here once before without actually tasting the wine. Shame on me! I stopped in yesterday and toured the wine cellar hospitality room, and was given a brief tour of the operations. I was very impressed! I knew that they grew grapes on premises, but I never knew that they produced all their own labels of the bottles sold in the store. My hostess had me sample a slightly-sweet Riesling, which was so good that I simply had to a bottle back home.

These folks have done amazing things with their farm, and now with their venture into the winemaking business. I recommend stopping by for a visit and a "deep nose" taste. It is worth your time!

Visiting Long Acre Farm, we took the chance and entered the showroom of JD Wine Cellars, adjacent to the farm. We took the 3 ($) for five (samples) tour and tasted very good wines. Our favourites: a red Mezclar (blended from a few red varietals), a semi-dry Riesling and a Traminette, a very fresh and fruity white wine with a puzzling perfumed bouquet. They also offer different fruit wines.
Meanwhile we had a nice talk with the salesady, who gave us some detailed information about the area and nearby attractions.
The winery might be a small, locally orientated company, but the wine is worth to go for it.

I hadn't been to this site since my kids went for the Corn Maze - probably 15 years ago. Then, there was no winery, but now there is and we had some great viniferas and interesting tastes. I loved the names of the wines and appreciated the family business and how it had grown.. I went in May, and bought six bottles of wine .. none of which are left. I know they are on the lake Ontario wine trail - and I'll have to go back again soon.

My friend won a private tasting from the Adult Easter Egg hunt, and boy was it fun. The woman who helped us was so knowledgeable about the family history behind each of the wines, it was nice to hear. We also ended up joining the case club, so you know we will be back in 2020, highly recommend the Trilogy wine.

I have been to Long Acre Farms many times of the years, but never stopped over at JD (and I absolutely regret that decision!). We had an absolutely wonderful wine tasting, with some great local wines served by educated and cordial staff. I will be honest and say that I was unsure about how it would be being a fairly new winery away from the lakes, but I was so pleasantly surprised. The wines were of great quality, and the facility itself was beautiful. It's also off the beaten path a bit, which makes it really nice and casual for tastings. We did not have to compete for space or attention, and I felt like everything was completely personalized to us. We will absolutely be coming back!

The property itself is also wonderful! You can make an entire day out of it and stop by and check out some local products, and my personal favorite, the donuts! There is also a large children's area, as well as an absolutely amazing corn maze! You can stop by for a quick tasting, or stay and play the whole day which is a rarity in this region.

I can not recommend JD Wine Cellars enough!

Good selection of wines, and a friendly staff. Went on a sunny day and enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, and walking around the market after.

JD Wine Cellars at Long Acre Farms is a great place to bring the family for special events or introduce friends to taste lovely wines and shop in the stores. They produce many delicious wines and have a nice set up in the tasting room which includes a cool gift shop. (Beer is available for sale if you're not a wine drinker.) Also, there is a general store with many food items, candies and more. We enjoy visiting and buying their products whenever we're in the area. Highly recommended!

This place is a short drive for me. It is a wonderful family owned and operated Wine Cellar that offers many of your favorite wines. I love the sweet wines, my husband is more of a Merlot kind of guy, together we find a wide variety of our favorite here. Also you can visit the goats with the kids outside, sit by a campfire, or enjoy snacks in the gift shop or outside. Long Acers also offers ice cream. Excellent place to go!!!

We arrived a few minutes before closing and the owner was very gracious and stayed open late for us and did a tasting for us and even poured more than the average 5 wines. She gave us a discount for purchasing wine as well. All of the wines were excellent. I highly recommend a stop here.
