Going on the Long Lake boat tour with Captain Marty was the best decision we’ve ever made. Marty and his wife made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived, and we will most definitely make this a must for all future long lake visits! We went out for a 3:30 ride, and we were so comfortable it didn’t even feel like a tour, it just felt like being shown around by a good friend. Thankyou so much for sharing the beauty and background of Long Lake!

Not quite what expected, but very enjoyable nevertheless. A small boat, but very nice. Captain Rick was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. Definitely knows his history of the area. We would definitely recommend the ride if you're in the area, don't think you'll be disappointed. I will say that it was a little hard to find. I was looking for something in a larger building, but it's just a small little thing across from the ADK Hotel.

Took the Long Lake Boat Tour with captain Marty and had a great time. The two hour boat ride was relaxing, informative with breath taking views. Marty is full of facts and history about the lake and surrounding area. Make sure and try his sandwiches and other offerings back on shore. It made for an excellent picnic and a great ending to a very enjoyable day!

No reservations needed but call ahead for sure. My elderly uncle and I took a 2.5 hour drive to enjoy a 1:30 boat cruise with Captain Marty only to find out that he wanted to fix his broken down lawnmower instead. He actually thought about taking us out for a moment and then said "no, I can't, please come back another time" Really? He then offered us the 3:30 ride but that would have put us home at 7:30pm and we had to be home earlier to let my dogs out. We moved on and did find another boat cruise on Raquette Lake and for the same $50 we would have spent, found an all you can eat buffet on the cruise.
They offered cocktails and much more comfort. It was too late for us to make a reservation there but we will be back for that cruise instead. Thanks Captain Marty!

We wanted to see the northern end of Long Lake. So glad we decided to do this rather than view the lake from the air by seaplane. The boat is a pontoon boat, open to air. Take a sweater- it can get chilly on the water. The captain did have a couple afghans on board just in case a passenger was cold.
The scenery is breathtaking- especially the Seward and Santonini ranges of the Adirondack mts
Capt Marty is so knowledgeable about the history of the area and families that own camps farther up the lake. He does a marvelous job narrating the cruise without being " dry" or boring!! Plenty of local flavor is part of his charm.
He is super conscientious about checking weather before starting out on a 2 hr cruise, and shared storm warnings with several boaters we encountered.
All around, just a delightful cruise. This is a great way to explore more of Long Lake!! I highly recommend this.

Captain Michael & his two adorable toy poodles queen elizabeth & John Henry were a treat to behold & engage with. Michael is entertaining & knowledge about the many special features of the lake, the old boathouses, the mountain peaks & swimming beach island.

Took my wife for our anniversary. The tour was really interesting and the captain very entertaining. We took the sunset cruise. It was a fabulous sunset and the moon rose over the mountains. I have been going to the Adirondacks for many years and have to say that this tour was the most memorable of all. Everyone on board was friendly and really got involved.. Don't miss this best of all tours. It was super-duper!

This ride was a pleasant surprise to both my husband and I. Marty was very informative and knowledgeable about the area. He took his time with the tour and info presented. He even shared some info we questioned him about the area. Would definitely recommend this tour. I wouldn't recommend for children though.
