About
Queens Food Tours is a unique and memorable food tasting and cultural walking tour of one of New York City's most unexplored and underrated borough-Queens. As Rodney Dangerfield would have put it, "we get no respect". You know that Queens is one of the most ethnically diverse places in the world, but did you know that when it comes to good eats, Queens is king!

The tour was fun and delicious. Great activity for a few friends to share in Jackson Heights! Highlights for me was Gujarati food at Rajbhog Sweets

An interesting food tour of the Long Island City section of Queens with a healthy dose of history. Richard, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the food and the history. The four food places we visited were really interesting for both their food and their history.

Richard gave us an excellent 3-hour tour. We ate south Indian food (very different from the usual take-out fare), Mexican empanadas, Tibetan dumplings, and ended with a delicious French/Bengali dessert.
Richard was very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the cultures that comprise Jackson Heights. We learned a lot, ate a lot, and had an experience we could never have on our own. Not only did we visit restaurants, but we discovered hidden food stalls only known to the local community.
Highly recommended for New Yorkers and visitors looking for an unusual and very memorable experience.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely Saturday learning about LIC with Richard and the two others in our group. We met local restaurant owners who were nothing but warm and welcoming and visited delicious spots rich in history that I would never have otherwise known about. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a sense of adventure who wants a taste of the REAL Queens.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Queens Food Tour with Richard and wanted to be sure that I included that it's a lot more than a food tour! History and recent socio-political influences on the area are sprinkled throughout the tour to make it a rare tourist find. While I loved the food - i loved the historic narrative along the way. Many colorful people have influenced the area and hearing this while viewing the neighborhoods made it that much more interesting.

Was very very pleased with the tour. It is not only a food tour but a history of Long Island City as well. Richard was wonderful, answered all questions, was very patient as a cane was needed to tour and the food was terrific/

Thanks to this tour we got to see Long Island City in a unique way. Richard our tour guide was terrific to hang out with for the 3 hour tour. He had a wide ranging knowledge of the area and the selection of eateries was perfect. We’ll be recommending this to our friends for sure. Thanks Richard!!

Jackson Heights, Queens is the most diverse community not only in the NYC, not only in the US, but the world. I believe 126 languages are spoken with the food to match. What a truly one-of-a-kind experience to sample so many different cuisines in one neighborhood in a single afternoon. We tasted flavors that I have truly never experienced despite being a foodie from Manhattan - one more delicious than the last. We began the tour with mouthwatering Jain food and ended with minty pan leaves. There were at least seven stops along the way from the Himalayas to Latin America from sit down restaurants to food carts. Our guide, Richard, was extremely knowledgeable, and a good guy to boot. However, this tour is for the adventurous person, adventurous eater, and for people who will respect and appreciate different cultures not used to lots of tourists. To us, this was the real Queens that we were hoping to see, far away from Manhattan. What a fun day.

Our family spent a lovely Saturday at the flavors of LIC tour. Food was excellent and filling (most food we ever had from a food tour). Our guide was the sweetest and hilarious. Made sure we all were having a good time. A+ tour!

Nice tour with FULL portions, i.e., full size hamburger, loads of pizza, etc. Some interesting facts of the area. The tour guide had a plan and stuck with it, even though it was a really cold rainy day and everyone was freezing. I could have had less story telling about things in a small area and it tweak just a bit for the weather. We came prepared for the weather, but it was a bit miserable. The tour guide was nice, however when I asked if I could get a list of the places I went (like other food tours have given) to remind me of where I want to go in the future, he said they'd get it to me via email. It didn't happen.
It was a nice tour, with some good food and interesting facts about this area, but not spectacular.
