The park itself isn't all that amazing - but the views across the river are wonderful. You can see the UN, etc. across the river. I've gone walking here three times and enjoyed it every time. They've left the remnants of its industrial days and they're lots of fun to look through.

It has food and drinks concession stands, a ferry service, a performance stage, basketball and volleyball courts, playground , clean bathrooms , water fountains, grass fields , bike, walk, jog and the best view of the Manhattan skyline. Arrive at sunset with a bottle of wine and food. Grab a... More

This area of Queens is undergoing a series of new developments and it offers a nice quiet urban park on the East River in contrast to bustling neighborhoods a few blocks to the east. Manhattan skyline views from this spot are some of the best, the whole area is very pedestrian friendly and relatively quiet. Although newly developed the whole... More

In New York City it's hard to sometimes find a place that is it just full of tourists. Hunters South Park is amazing, it's not completely full of tourists you can actually get away and feel like you are in your own private park. The views fantastic saw lots of people enjoying their day and even found a nice pier... More

Wish we could wake up to this view every day, but took full advantage of every minute we had on our weekend visit. The park is a great place for an evening stroll with the family. Snag an ice cream or crepes at a food truck while you take in the view of Manhattan in the sunset as the sky... More

I really love this park, and it is an obligated visit when we have friends and family coming over. A few blocks from the Vernon Blvd Station (Line 7) and you get to one of the most incredible views on Manhattan. It has a great playground for kids and a huge open space for playing soccer, so if you have... More

Love this place. Clean, beautiful views of NYC, lots of space, many kids and families. Just the perfect place to have a good walk and relax with friends, especially after a delicious meal at nearby restaurants!
