This isn’t something I would come all the way to Queens for on it’s own, but it’s definitely neat to see and good for a photo opportunity. It’s also part of a nicely kept park with benches, where you can rest and enjoy views of the water and Manhattan. It’s also right next to the Long Island City ferry dock. I would recommend coming to Queens on the ferry for the views, to try some of the amazing ethnic cuisine, and explore the neighborhood, with this as part of the agenda.

This is a nice place to kill time and see Manhattan from another angle, sort of outside looking in. It is quiet-is and peaceful especially at night.

Iconic of the East River and best seen at night time. I believe it’s got a preservation order of some description. Views of the city on a clear day!
