After a very wet tour of the Canal and the underground tunnels, we headed over to the Flight of Five Winery for a tasting. We arrived in the Old Town Hall and we were the only people in the Tasting Room. After explaining how the tastings went my GF and I selected the wines we wanted to try. Now I must admit that I am very partial to Semi-Dry Wines. The sweeter the better. My GF prefers the more dry varieties. We were given six glasses of wine. One was a bonus glass. We also ordered a cheese platter to go along with the Flight. Let me get right to it. My wines were superb, outstanding, the best I've ever had. I've never been to a winery that had so many varieties of Semi-Dry that I actually liked. I was in heaven. Not only was the wine the best, but the cheese offerings were outstanding. Since we were the only patrons in the Winery we had the undivided attention of the owner, who spoke to us to no end about the winery, the cheeses and his business. What a great experience! We left buying several bottles of wine to take home and the desire to return with some friends in the future.

This is a cool location for wine tasting. It’s inside the old City Hall, and you have to walk through Scrooge’s to get in (they kind of share an entrance). The hours are not as late as you might expect, they close at 6 on weekdays. The servers were very kind and knew their wine selection well. There are four flights to choose from: a sweet, semi sweet, a more dry, and a “just for fun”...from what I remember. Then there are cheese pairings to go with each if you so desire. The presentation of the flights was great, and we sat at a barrel and had some laughs. The actual wine wasn’t my favorite, but you may love it? There was a unique coffee wine that was probably one of the best we tried. (They do have some bottled beers, too, if you’re not such a wine person)

Hubby and I did a Niagara Wine tasting. this place was so neat. Located right on the locks in Lockport NY. Have choice of 3 different wine flights. A cheese board matching the wines is available. Had 2 different flights and one cheese board. Nice relaxing experience. Highly recommend.

Next to the Lockport canal inside a old Historical building called The Old City Hall, is Flight of five winery. You may be a bit confused finding FOFW due to the fact other businesses (restaurant & hair salon) share the same building. But continue up the stairs and to the back are of the restaurant are doors entering into Flight of Five winery. The tasting room is a nice size area and it's set up to give people comfortable space. We had their signature wine pairing with cheese. Each wine paired beautifully with the cheese. They have other pairings as well, such as dry wine, sweet and even chocolates. The experience and the place was well worth trying out.
