Nature at its Finest.

Although I live only a couple of miles from this place, this is the first time I ever went to it. The word "PARK" is in its name on the sign at the parking area, but I do not consider it a park. There are three or four trails, a creek and a waterfall. Since it has been so dry in Western New York, the creek bed is almost totally dry. I hope to return soon and enter the "park" from the other end at the other parking area.

Hard to believe this wilderness is in the middle of the town of Lockport!

I hiked this trail awhile back, and it is a beautiful trail. It was not well marked, however. There are many animal and human trails crossing through out this park so it is not hard to get lost. It truly is a wilderness area and not many people walk through it. We got lost and found our way to the nearby Railroad tracks which we had to follow to get back to civilization! Don't hike it alone!

Easy Hike
Aug 2017 • Solo
Two locations to park and hike, one on Jackson and one on Niagara Street. There are four trails at this location and they are marked well. There is a small waterfall (Indian Falls.) Only problems with this location is the amount of littering and the fact that it's at a Superfund Site (Eighteen Mile Creek.) Just don't touch the water!

Horribly groomed
Aug 2016 • Family
The trails were not groomed at all and poorly marked. I came from Wisconsin excited to hike this trail and was disappointed beyond belief.

Great walking hike spot

The bottom trails are protected from the winds found on the upper trails. I went on an April day, and it was perfect. Snow had fallen the night before.

Chasing Waterfalls-Indian Falls (Lockport)
Apr 2014 • Friends
Indian Falls is a pretty little waterfall about 6" high. There is a short walk from the wilderness entrance to get to it (a few spots on the trail can be tricky in the spring so caution is necessary). We have not gone beyond the falls so don't know much about the conditions of the rest of the park.

Peaceful Hike
Jun 2012 • Family
Bring my kids here just to relax and get some fresh air. When there is enough water there is a neat little waterfall.
