So, other than driving through the park for Lights on the Lake in the winter time, I have never actually just parked to take a walk. We did so after dinner tonight, but trying to not step on the goose poop kind of took the joy of a walk away. It was even on the walkways. Blah..

It took a town meeting, letters from safety professionals, and several trucks hitting the low railroad bridge to finally get the state to restrict commercial traffic on the parkway! This scenic route is a major link from Liverpool to the city, Destiny and the regional market.

The park is a great place to visit. It has walking paths, picnic areas & a butterfly garden. In the winter, you can visit the park & see Lights on the Lake. It also has areas to roller skate.

I'm never sure of how long to recommend for this park because there is so much to do there. When I'm by myself, I just love sitting on the lake and watching the ducks play as the sun sets. The scenery is so beautiful, and the sunsets are always amazing. If you have nothing else to do, you can usually... More

I grew up in the area and always thought it was sad that it was not used and the lake was not cleaned up. Over the last 20 years a lot of improvements in the area make it an emerging gem. Nice walking paths

Get out and enjoy your walk or bike on the trail along fabulous Onondaga Lake! With the City of Syracuse in the background makes the scenery second to none, Park is large to enjoy for biking, jogging, or walking at your own pace! Even has a dog Park!

Walking trails are well maintained and the lake opens up to hours of kayaking. Not far from the boat launch are rentals and services on Vine Street. There is ample room to explore and get away within the day and night time offers plenty of local fare in restaurants from the village of Liverpool to the downtown city of Syracuse.

This park is beautiful, fun and quite on some days. Sunday seems to be the busiest day. Rent bakes or bring your own. Ride on the tram and enjoy the view.

Many years ago, Onondaga Lake was one of the largest contaminated site in the country. There was no swimming in the lake. The water actually smelled. Contrast that to the park that stands here today. It's beautiful. Great place for a walk, run, bike- anything. We sat on a bench today and just enjoyed. So wonderful. This is a must... More

This used to be my exercise place. The whole lake is around 8 miles lomg but is very beautiful. You can take a long walk or even job as a part of your exercise. Good place for couples to hang out too. If you are in Liverpool/Syracuse then this should be definitely on your go-to list
