We met Giovanna at BBC in Lewiston. She was right on time. Friendly and personable immediately made us feel glad we decided to do this tour. We are locals but wanted to support a small business and to see what this was about and we didn’t regret it. We were celebrating our anniversary & happen to be the only ones on tour that night!! It was very interesting.

We couldn't have had a more enjoyable day! Great day out with friends. The historical tour was so informative. Alicia did a GREAT job to make it fun. The food was exceptional!! At the end we had to talk about what are favorite foods were, and almost everyone said they couldn't choose because everything was absolutely delicious!!We were so full at the end & almost skipped the bakery. That would have been a mistake! It's a perfect day for anyone.

When I first heard about The Roaming Table I was skeptical that I would experience anything new about what Lewiston has to offer having lived 20 miles away all my life and visiting often. I could not have been more wrong. At the conclusion of the tour I came away having sampled some of the best food I have ever tasted and a new knowledge of the role Lewiston played in the history of our area of the country. The route we followed is one that is navigable by just about anyone of any fitness level and the tastings are strategically spaced. Kudos to Chris and Alicia, tour guides and owners of the Roaming Table, for developing what I'm sure will be a successful endeavor for years to come.

A group of friends drove from Rochester, NY (70 miles) in two cars to spend the day in Lewiston, NY...a quaint spot along the Niagara River. From 1-4 pm, the 8 of us were thoroughly entertained. It was the perfect blend of walking tour, learning about the local history (War of 1812 and Lewiston's role in the Underground Railroad), with nicely timed stops enroute to enjoy some of the incredible local food, drink along the way. If we had gone to one of these establishments, it would have been incredible. But we got to experience 6 different places; each was unique and delightful. What a great way to enjoy a group of friends, and to experience a unique destination. On our way home, each of us talked about returning for another tour with another group of friends or family. It was fabulous, and I will definitely be back for another Roaming Table Tour. Bravo Chris and Alicia. Thanks so much for what proved to be a true highlight of summer 2014!

A group of 4 of us (with a baby in stroller) signed up for this tour hoping to get to try out a few dishes from different places and were were all totally blown away by how much fun and how delicious everything was. Our tour guides, Chris and Alicia, were not only filled with tons of great info on the history of the area but also very friendly and lots of fun. The food and drinks were so far above and beyond our expectations! We hit up six local spots (the seventh was under renovation - but honestly I don't know if I could have eaten anymore!) and a few historical sites. The historical spots were all along the way and the walking was a nice way to break up the eating. We had such a good time.

If you are looking for something unique to do in the area, do this tour! You will NOT be disappointed.

This was a great tour and an excellent way to get acquainted with Lewiston! Chris and Alicia were wonderful, knowledgeable and adorable tour guides that made us feel so welcome in their little town. Definitely recommended to anyone who loves food, drinks or history. The Roaming Table is the main reason we will be back to Lewiston one day. Thanks for a great day!

A group of us had the pleasure of going on a culinary and historical tour of Lewiston NY. I grew up in Buffalo and had previously only been to Lewiston a handful of times, never really doing anything more than grabbing a pint and seeing a concert so I had no idea that Lewiston had such a rich history involving the War of 1812 and the Underground Railroad. There were several stops along the way to talk about different events and stories that had taken place over time. The historical part, while very interesting and educational, was the second reason we had gone on the tour, the first being the FOOD. Starting off at the Silo, a destination right on the Niagara River with beautiful views all around, we had the "Haystack Sandwich". Awesome. The food was great and it was the perfect place to meet up for the tour. The rest of the tour followed with some different types of cuisine (sandwich, smoked wings, potato fries, jambalaya in vodka cream sauce, apple pie) with some beer and wine pairings along the way. Very well spaced out as to not get too full from one stop; there were stops at D'Avolio for an Olive Oil tasting, The Orange Cat coffee shop which was a great pick me up 3/4 of the way through the day. The tour ended with a personal giant apple pie creation. Again, awesome.
Our guides, Chris and Alicia, were great. Alicia is from Lewiston and the pride for that showed well throughout the day. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never been on a food tour before, but without a doubt I would do this tour again, this summer. It's a perfect way to get a group of friends or family together to spend a day eating, drinking and laughing in what I have discovered is a beautiful town of Lewiston.

This was the first food tour we had ever taken, and we had such a great time! The food was delicious with a great variety of food and drinks to try. Learning about the history of Lewiston was fascinating and fun! It was great to walk around a beautiful town. Everything was so well organized and the tour and restaurant staff were all so knowledgeable and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this fun tour to friends and family, from WNY and beyond!

Rita was a genuine delight. She interspersed a number of historical vignettes throughout our journey of Lewiston's cuisine. Our group approached this particular endeavor with a bit of skepticism yet we came away thoroughly impressed and delighted by the entire experience. The advent of an afternoon monsoon failed to damper our spirits or Rita's exuberance. Truly a worthwhile, highly recommended excursion.
