Quiet and subdued. Peaceful at best. Far from the hustle and bustle of city life. People go out of their way to visit this catholic church. I heard they had a light show during winter but I wasn't able to see it.

A catholic religious location which is at little out-of-the-way location with extensive land area. The focus is on the church which is in the shape of the oval world with stairway to the top. Numerous statues of saints of the catholic cover the site. Ample parking but a few pot holes so drive slowly. Frequented by many locals including many... More

I went specifically to see the Christmas light display that they have here from late November to early January. Although it was cold we climbed the outdoor tower for a panoramic view of the lights which was beautiful. The inner sanctuary and surrounding hallways and chapels were also nicely decorated. The gift shop was interesting and the aroma from the... More

We were there at night, to see the Christmas lights. It was a very beautiful, quiet place to visit. Nice gift shop.

Beautiful sanctuary. If you are willing to walk a few stairs, there is a great view from the top of the building housing the sanctuary. Very nice grounds.

Glad we picked up a brochure, as our GPS didn't work here--the lady at the book store said this is normal. I've been to a number of shrines, but I didn't feel anything special here. You can walk around, seeing many many statues (all with prominent plaques--so once again, as I've noted at other shrine sites, there's an obvious emphasis... More

We have been going to this Shrine many many times. This is one of our favorite places to visit, not too far from Toronto, just a few minutes from the Canada/U.S. border through the Lewiston bridge. The main church has a globe dome, i.e. when you are inside the church and look up, you can see the silhouette of the... More

A very special place that Christian and non-christians will find peaceful. The eclectic interior has lots of character. The statue garden brought me to tears. The souls are old there but it is full of life and love.

What a beautiful park. There are 63 steps up to the Lady of Fatima statue but well worth the view! Lots of other beautiful statues throughout the park.
