Itanda Falls
Sep 2021
I think besides Murchison falls, this is the strongest waterfall to consider. There were gardens to sit and relax, cultural performances and then the waterfalls. But apart from the waterfalls. There is nothing much to see and do

If you love watching water, this is the place for you
Jul 2021
I love to watch water moving and there was plenty of water and movement at Itanda Falls. The amount of water in Lake Victoria has increased in recent years, and so the amount of water flowing into the Nile has also increased and overtaken some of the islands. The huge boulders create massive sprays of water. There are some young men with life jackets on who offer to jump into that churning mass, but it looked far too dangerous for them to do that on my nickel, so I just gave them some money to stay on dry land. Very impressive view and I'm glad I went.

Amazing falls
Jun 2021
We were the only visitors there because of the Pandemic. A guide takes you down very steep paths so you can get close to the water. They have a very dangerous stupiid idea that you want to pay them to jump into the water! Don't encourage this! The falls are spectacular. You tip the guide. There are VERY primitive toilets on the site.

Itanda falls, Jinja

I was sent ahead to scout the Itanda falls & I must say they are quite beautiful. A worthwhile experience.
The downside though is the lack of any other activities & facilities (restaurants/ hotels) around
A nice place but please CARRY EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU WOULD NEED! to relax outdoors. EVERYTHING!!
For those that like it more quiet, the weekdays seem to have fewer visitors

"powerful waterfalls"-an Experience with Bunya Adventures
Dec 2019
its so breathe taking to get closer on the water as it has a powerful sound and steam especially in the morning but one has to be careful with the slippery rocks during rainy season as you easily slide away. i loved the rafting on the falls, took great pictures with a help from Robert and Trevor of Bunya Adventures. The road is dusty and its around minutes drive. The locals were very friendly too when we needed directions

Not only is it a perfect scenic view for the waterfall activity but also a great view for recreational activities.Quite similar to Bujagali but there is a difference in the nature and cool breeze

Amazing power

We recently visited this area about a week ago. We were met at the gate by a guard charging us 15$ a person which was a little unexpected but it wasn't the end of the world. There is plenty of spectacular spots there to take great pictures of the nature doing its thing. There is no food or water stands at the falls so prepare accordingly.
