Dear Jules, Thank you for your review, we always appreciate any feedback – good or bad as we are always looking for ways to improve. We are really sorry that your experience of our beautiful camp was not up to standard. We are still trying to get ourselves back on our feet as the Covid pandemic hit us pretty hard. We have been doing maintenance pretty much non stop for the last 8 months, any extra monies that come in just goes straight back into bringing our camp back up to standard, and there is still so much more to do. Did you sleep in a dorm room or an en-suite? In our communal showers, we did have a blockage some weeks back but this was attended to and fixed on the same day. When our kitchen is busy it can take up to 30min for your food to come – for kayakers, our kitchen opens at 7:30am so you can get on the river for the day. If you order after a long line of people, then it will also take some time. We have been forced to reduce staff shifts due to Covid, so some days we have less staff than other days depending on how busy we are, this can also contribute to things being a bit slower than normal. Having said all this, we are truly sorry and we are all working around the clock to get our camp back up and restore it to its former glory. We do hope you will visit us again on your next Kayak trip. Kind regards, Minette
