the old harbor and medina area of bizerte are worth exploring. there are still residents living inside the medina as well as a few dars. overall, i would say it hasn't been spoiled by tourism. if you visit in winter months, you will see citrus trees bearing fruits outside the medina.

another 30 min on and through rolling farmland, you will arrive to cape angela, the northernmost corner of african continent. the monument itself is smaller than I expected. regular sedan can make it all the way to the end. high clearance vehicle is not necessary.

The old city is worth walking around and you can even take a peek in the old Medina. There are fishing boats tied up late in the day and the locals come out as the day cools down. We walked along the channel by the old wall of the Medina and around to the Phoenician boat that is a wonderful place to dine at sunset. A charming way to watch the locals going about their evenings.

Qsiba is a must visit place for those visiting Bizerte, Tunisia, and those who want to explore the old town of Bizerte while enjoying the breathtaking view of the Old Port of the town. The locals call it "Little Venice" because of the white-and-blue houses erected on the sea bank. I usually have a stroll with my family when I go back to Bizerte, my hometown, during the summer holiday.

This is a very nice area to have a walk and discover some authentic and historical Tunisian sites. Bizerte is more conservative than other Tunisian places and also not as much used to European tourists. So there are many cafes with only men inside etc. but people there were in general very kind. Check it out if you want to see a real Tunisian place, not a typical Beach Resort. I found the area around the old port really lovely. If you're staying in Tunis, there are Louages (Mini-Bus-Taxi) to get you there in about one hour.

This area of down town is very nice and full of history. It is looks like an old port with lots of small and big boats, cafes and shops nearby, but i cant say that is is a really touristic place. Because cafes a full with local man, even i was with my husband it was not comfortable to have a cup of nice local mint tea while enjoying the views. All walk took us about 15 min.

Nice to go around, and enjoy a nice meal in one of the traditional restaurants. You can also visit the fish market, choose your preferred fish or other seafood delicacies and have them prepared for you in one of the nearby restaurants.

Pretty nice place to visit to see the old city as well as have great view on the sea and the new modern buildings
Links well to old markets and great scenery
There is a fish museum as well as great view to the city from the top
Kids loved running around
You can walk to the fun fair too
Or towards city centre which links to the bridge
This is the first in Africa built in 1980 and still in use links between two sides of the city
Can easily been seen if you follow the road down from Ksiba

The Old Port area of Bizerte is small but really scenic and beautiful. You will take dozens of pictures! The best thing: it feels really authentic, we did not meet any other tourists/travelers.
To get to Bizerte from Tunis, go to the Bab Saadoun bus station and take a louage (shared van). They depart constantly, the price was 5.30 DT in December 2018.
