It’s an excellent place to explore a huge tropical rain forest ! Even with 45 minutes route, you can see a lot trees and animals, a must do in Pemba island with Misali island :))

Went for the 3-4 hour trekking tour, a very nice tour through the sometimes quite compact rainforest. You need a guide and someone with a machete. We ended up at the Vumawimbi Beach and took a swim. The forest has a huge variety of trees.

This place is what we call a real African jungle in terms of greenery and trees. we did a 45mn tour within it, it seems to be really virgin and worth the visit

For the nature interested traveller, this is a must. Good guides at the south inlet to the forest. Walking tours at low prices. Easy to see and hear endemic monkeys and owls

Reasonably interesting hour or so walk in the forest with a knowledgeable guide. Worth paying the $5 fee as it goes (hopefully) to the forest conservation
