Nestled on Scott's Cobble Mountain in Lake Placid, NY. We offer a Zip Line tour consisting of 6 zip lines and an ATV ride up to the top of the mountain to start. With our lines totaling over 2000', how would you like to explore the forest like Tarzan did? Tours will last about 2 hours and we can accommodate up to 8 people at a time. Zip Line Tours run at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, & 4pm. We also offer Team Building Programs and Guided Services for all outdoor activities. Call us for more information!

Fantastic Zipping Experience.
The entire experience was exceptional and very professional. It started with Maddy making our reservation to Buck and Athena, our two fun and professional guides.
This is completely worth the money as far as a zipping experience goes and you will not be disappointed.
We had a range of ages from 11, 12, and adults and everyone equally enjoyed it.

A wonderful experience for all involved (ages 9-51). Great interactions with staff, from safety introduction to equipment practice to encouragement while on the elements to care helping two people down early. Gave everyone a chance to challenge themselves. Kids were still talking about it days later. The 13 year old rated it a "10 out of 10!"

We came here for my cousins bachelorette and it was the highlight of our trip. From the moment you arrive the environment is great, all the employees are extremely nice and a huge plus is you are greeted by the cutest friendliest dogs! There was 8 of us, one of the girls was extremely petrified at first but Buck and Tink (our tour guides) had such patience with her made her feel safe and encouraged her at each course she now can’t wait to go zip lining again. The whole day was full of laughs and smiles. Our experience here was absolutely amazing and the views were incredible! We even learned a bit of fun facts from our awesome tour guides along the way. If you’re going to lake placid (or anywhere near by) this 100% should be number one on your list to do!

After a scheduling mishap, Experience Outdoors was able to make my family’s vacation goal, an accomplishment. With Licensed Guide Dave facilitating the hiking ascension, my family of varying levels of fitness completed the mission together. I thank Bill Walton and his team for making the experience a family strengthening event. We had great laughs and consistent encouragement of each other has solidified our bond.

Based on reviews, we booked a ziplining adventure for 2 adults and 2 kids (12 & 15). It was the best part of our trip to Lake Placid! It was about a 10 minute drive from where we were staying. They did 6 ziplines and 2 rapels and a ride on a ATV/Golf cart style up the hill to get to the start of the ziplining adventure. My sister and I walked along the path. The tour guides were super helpful. We could either walk up the path or take the ride. We chose the ride up and I'm glad we did. Much easier to walk down the hill. We were able to take videos and pictures of the family and it was easy to follow the path down the hill. The views at the top are gorgeous! Would highly recommend and would visit this place again on our next visit. The kids can't stop talking about how fun their first zipline adventure was!

Experience Outdoors was not originally a part of our agenda on our recent vacation to Lake Placid. But we kept driving by the sign so we decided to stop in and inquire about what they had to offer. The staff couldn't have been nicer and explained all the activities that they offer, times, costs, etc. The next day we decided to call and reserve the zipline and they were able to accommodate us for their next time slot, so there was no wait. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by 3 friendly dogs, and being dog people, we felt welcomed and right at home. Our 2 guides were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. I'm not as adventurous as my husband, I have a fear of heights and the guides were extremely patient with me. What an experience! My husband and I are both in our late 50's and had the time of our lives zipping through the air! I can't thank the staff enough for helping to make our experience something we'll never forget. I highly recommend Experience Outdoors, the staff, the programs, the facilities and yes, even the dogs, make this experience exciting and memorable. If you're ever in the Lake Placid area, this stop must absolutely be on your agenda! Special shout out to Scout! Thank you!

Peep was very friendly when we booked our experience . She walked us through all the different options, signing up and what to expect. Our 14 and 16 year old participated in the guided zip line that took close to two hours to complete. The value to price is exceptional here and only increased by the friendliness of both the staff and guides. I will definitely be visiting again. Great place for an outdoor family outing or business team building

This was one of the highlights of our Lake Placid trip. We had never zip lined before so this was a new experience for us and our children (ages 10 and 7). The two guides assigned to our tour were exceptional (Terminator and Buck?). They were fun, knowledgable about the local area, safety focused and they paid special attention to building the confidence of the kids so we could thoroughly enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable afternoon.

We had an absolute blast with Turtle and Buttercup. The entire team was friendly, accommodating and made us feel safe and comfortable. My youngest did not want to go and so he hung out and waited for us. This made me a bit nervous but he loved it and I knew if there was a problem, they could reach us. Good time, great people!

I am generally not one to leave a good review unless my experience was exceptional, and I must say, Experience Outdoors was the highlight of our Lake Placid Trip! Our group consisted of 2 adults and 4 teens, and our guides Rosie and Scout were wonderful. They were patient (I am afraid of heights), they were encouraging, and most of all, they were fun. The ATV ride up with the dog leading the way brought smiles to our faces. They made us laugh, and we all loved our experience with them. You can tell that they love what they do. I recommend this for all ages.
Now the truth: If you are afraid of heights, you are high up, but you are safe. It was windy, and one of the platforms is very high, and it has a little bit of movement when it is windy. It is designed for this, but you are locked in and you are safe. I was nervous, but I knew I was 100% safe the entire time. I trusted the team and I trusted the harness. We had a great time and I would do it again.

Our minimum age is 7 and you must be able to reach your fingers up to 5 feet in order to reach your brakes. If they are over 7 and not able to reach that height they will have to ride tandem with their guides for the additional cost of $30. I'm a 67 yr old moderate active person....have zipped once before but didnt do bridge or repel. I ski in the winter and walk daily. Think I'll be ok?

I think you would be totally fine. When I went there were people of all ages, some people weren’t as active as others. I have to say everybody was able to do it completely fine! It was so much fun you will love it.
