We were a group of 14 people (5 adults, 9 kids ages 11-16). The experience is not cheap, but at least it does include a group picture at the end with the drivers and bobsled, a pin and a T-shirt that most in our group liked. You wear a helmet and I would almost compare the ride to something like... More

We did the bobsled run! While it was pricey, it was an amazing experience. I will be returning this winter to do the run on ice. Can't wait!

The bobsled and luge complex isn't pretty to look at but it is interesting (even if you're not into the sports). There's a little tiny display to look over and then you take a bus up and around the complex. Our guide (don't remember his name but he's a older man; a real Adirondack Jack type!) was so knowledgeable about... More

I love watching these events on TV, but you don't really get a feel for it until you experience it. You can ride the 1980 bobsled track in a wheeled bob sled with a driver and brakeman. It is an awesome ride. We took the shuttle up to the top of the new track, and our driver was very knowledgeable... More

$150US/couple for a bobsled ride that's over in 1min = too expensive. We emailed 3d ahead for reservations but received no email reply. We then called 1d ahead but they said they don't take reservations the day before. So we arrived at 9am opening to buy tickets and were the first up when the 10am track opened. They were definitely... More

Thank you for visiting the Olympic Sports Complex. The Bobsled Experience is a very unique opportunity to take a bobsled ride with a professional driver and brakeman. Glad to read that you found it a “neat and fun experience”. I apologize for the mix up with your reservations email. We will follow up on that for you. Reservation volume varies... More

Our family of 4 did the Bobsled experience on a Saturday run in August. We did not know what to expect, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived at opening to ensure we would be able to have a spot (turns out I think we needn't have worried), and went on the guided tour to pass the time until our pager... More

Most often one can sled 1/2 a mile in the summer on the winter tracks of the Olympic site. The road past the cross country venue to the luge and bobsled site are very rutted and in need of some work but the mini museum and scenic surroundings make the trip out from the ski jumps worth it.

Again, only offer rides a couple days of the week, call ahead before making the drive. The staff were not impressed to let us get a view or picture without charging an admission fee to see a bobsled track that wasn't being used..............Unbelievable.

Thank you for visiting The Olympic Sports Complex. I’m sorry that we did not meet your expectations. I agree it is always good to call ahead and make sure that bobsled rides are available that day. Our website www.whiteface.com is also a good source of information as to events and activities that are going on. The fee for the Olympic... More

Try out the bobsled - the fastest 10 seconds you'll have in Lake Placid! Fly down the 1/2 mile track with a driver and brakeman. (With the bobsled ride, you also receive a pin, t-shirt, and a team photo.) Check out the tracks, and the great views of the High Peak areas. This venue is also great for weddings!
