Nice easy hiking trail

This mountain is a good warm up level before tackling the higher ones. It is close to Lake Placid. It has a nice view. Only slighlty less than 3000 feet.

Have come up here cross country skiing for years. Tough winter but were lucky to have snow this year and they did a good job building the base. For the second year in a row very disappointed in the grooming in that for a busy weekend- they either didn't groom( last year) and only did 1/2 the trails this year.... More

I took the shorter trail to the summit b/c I had been watching the bobsledders training sessions. Paid $4 for access to the bobsled track and trail. This is the easier way to the summit. Not very steep for most of trail until you reached end of the maintained part. Rather muddy the day I hiked. Still not as strenuous... More

The forest we went through was beautiful but if you expect views you will not find them here. You only reach a little terrace at the end of the path, and you can look back at where you came from. In the distance some of the 46ers can be seen

We did this hike based on TripAdvisor recommendations and we were rewarded. This trail was about 4.4 miles round trip and we did it while it was snowing. The trail was well marked and we had no problems despite the very wet and muddy trail. If you dress for the conditions you will have no issues. The trail starts with... More

Cold, cold, beautiful snowy weather! The entire area is wonderful. We were there at a time when most of the attractions were closed but were still able to travel to places where the views were spectacular! A lovely place to visit.

While visiting Lake Placid, we were hoping to find some exciting outdoor activities. We were surprised to find such a good deal for snow tubing. Only $10 a person. Well the "500 ft" drop for snow tubing was just a little steeper than my backyard. What a let down. Not worth it at all. The snowboarding and ski hill looked... More

We arrived here for our Bobsled adventure and it was amazing. A little wait time but it was worth it to go down the bobsled track. We didn't get to the cross country skiing but maybe next time!

We went just before the peak ended. A lot of leaves had fallen but was still very gorgeous made for beautiful pictures. It was about 4.5 miles all the way around but it was a great hike
