Was disappointed in our friday pm at the rodeo. Our first time with my girls and their friends. Getting to your seats is highly dangerous. Stadium seating but not a solid walkway to your seats. Slats that are high then very low to the ground. Don't bring elderly people to this event to hard to walk to seats.
Cowboys and cow girls fun to see but thats it!! In between sets they have the kids come on the field. Then they have them take off their shoe and have them race across the dirt field on one foot. A mothers nightmare!! Also my daughter came back to seats crying she was s upset and annoyed that her sneakers were ruined with mud and dirt. She's 7 and a good sport normally!
I know this is a must do on many lists but they need some tweaks to the facility and the in between show.

What a great show for the entire family. We vacation at Lake George every year and this is always a stop one night. Something a little different from the hussle and tussle of the lake. Always a great time and the entire family always leaves with a smile.

We went with 3 families and the BBQ dinner was great and very organized. The bar and drinks were great and prices were low. The Rodeo was fun and exciting and all the kids and adults were entertained the entire time. It was 10/10 for value and quality. Definitely a must try in Lake George!!!

This is a rodeo ... with everything you'd expect ... horses, bulls, calves, roping, cowboys and cowgirls, dust and dirt, stadium seating and lots of high-energy fun!!!
If you're looking for a high-end dining experience, go elsewhere. The bbq is well organized with plenty of food for everyone. Pulled pork, barbequed chicken, beans, coleslaw, potato salad, rolls, and dessert. C'mon, what's better than that?
There are chairs on the upper level for the older folks and bleachers for everyone else. Plenty of parking. A gift shop so you can take home a souvenir.
See you next year!!!!

This is our third time coming to the show. We have come with young children, teens and just adults. We always have a great time. The BBQ is really good and you get plenty of food. You can see that the members of the rodeo care deeply for their livestock. Lots of fun !

2nd time visiting and tried the Thursday afternoon version this time. First off, if you're doing the BBQ, sit under the fans so the flies/bees don't disturb your kids. Keep in mind the stands have no backrest so if that's important get to the stands early enough to grab the lawn chairs up in the back (you can see everything from everywhere). If you are in the grandstand, anyone with mobility issues will have a problem getting down as there aren't proper stairs.
As for the show itself, we saw a lot of youth contestants and they did say many of their regulars were on the injured list. Our show just had a lot more failed attempts than successes. Overall it's a fun way to spend some time in the area and see something you don't get to see in most areas.

Great entertainment. $20 to $22 for a couple hours of all America fun. Announcer and clown are like listening a couple of comics. Lots of crowd participation. Even the kids (under 8) Get in on the fun. Wear your casual clothes that can get alittle dirty. Seats are wooden benches.

This wasn't my first rodeo and definitely wont be my last. We went for the bbq which was casual and delicious and stayed for the rodeo. What a great time we had. Between the announcer and the rodeo clown they really kept the energy going. The competitions were thrilling and who doesnt wasn't to see a cowboy?

As rodeos go, this one was OK. I"ve been to many out west and this one was no different. HOWEVER, the announcer was disgusting. He was misogynistic, making jokes about ugly, fat women, dumb blondes, etc. There were sexual innuendos, etc. This was a family event, with many children present. The jingoistic, religious rhetoric was also offensive. Don't get me wrong, I'm a patriot, a war veteran, and a strong advocate for our government, and freedom of religion. I believe that is what our country was founded on. However, this came down as an ad for a rally for our current president , not a rodeo. The two should not be intermixed. Shame on the owner for allowing this announcer to keep his job.

In August of 2019 my wife, myself and another couple decided to go check this place out being as we had never been to a rodeo before. We got the combo ticket $34.00: dinner and show. The all you can eat dinner consisted of bbq ribs and chicken with salad, baked beans, coleslaw, corn on the cob, rolls, and soft drinks. It was all delicious. Dessert featured watermelon and apple crisp which was awesome. The rodeo was also very good. It featured bill riding, Calif ropeing, and many other categories associated with a rodeo.Dinner was from 6p-8p Rodeo was from 8p-10p. Was most enjoyable. You can just do rodeo if you don't want to eat there. And they have a saloon also. We, will definitely do it again

About how long does the rodeo last?
Written August 4, 2021
Do I need to make reservations or buy tickets in advance.
Written July 2, 2019
No reservations necessary. You can buy tickets at the door or at several places nearby. Get there a little early, as parking can get tight.

Do they serve food at the longhorn saloon besides the bbq?
Written August 18, 2018
Not sure about that either. I only noticed the bbq buffet we paid for with the rodeo. They do sell food in the arena not sure what's on the list though. You can give them a call and ask. They were very nice when my daughter called.
