We had a great time this past Saturday (July 11th) we were on the1pm time frame. My husband is a non swimmer and our friends were able to tie him to all of us together, along with the guides keeping everyone together. One guide Charlotte on a kayak really worked hard during the entire time, and of course the other 2 guides were helpful too. There was a 5 min thunder, and it passed but the guides were def on alert with each other and kept us informed of where to go and not go.(some parts were shallow) ,they also had a great sense of humor during the tubing. It was about 3 hours long, and it was relaxing.Since COVID is upon us everything was being sanitized and social distanced. Bus ride was a lil longer than 10 min,and bumpy, and everyone wore a mask. The bus drivers made sure everyone loaded from back to front as to not to expose each other.Overall we would do it again. Thank you for a safe adventure,my husband even enjoyed it!

We are in the Lake George region on an annual basis and I finally got the chance to take the family tubing. It was a great, worthwhile "lazy river" experience. I was pleasantly surprised considering it was the tail-end of July, that the river still had enough current to keep you moving at a "lazy" pace. Having tubed before, there are some instances where it is easier to stand up, grab your tube, and walk the river. Again, not the case on this part of the Hudson.
I would highly recommend bringing a cooler with some drinks and snacks. You can rent a cooler carrier that is easily tethered to your tube. The experience is even more enjoyable if you can grab a cold drink or a quick bite as you go down the river.
I would also suggest brining water shoes and booking in advance. Due to the influx of outdoor activity seekers, the trips, although several during any given day, can sell out.
Just in case it isn't obvious, on a crowded bus to and from the river , with your mask on can get hot and uncomfortable. I mention, because some of the folks (customers) on our bus to the river were complaining so much, that I almost wanted to get out and walk. Not sure what else you would expect on a 90 degree day.
The guides and staff were excellent.
Give it a try. You will enjoy.

July 3 2020, Despite a couple brief showers (you're gonna get wet anyway!), we had an excellent time on our float down the Hudson.
Our guides Charlotte & Caitlyn were wonderful; friendly, and helpful. The bus drivers (sorry ladies, didn't get your names) were professional and got us there & back on some narrow, bumpy roads safely.
Organization due to COVID19 was smooth & safe. Bring your mask - you will need it for the bus rides.
Pay the extra $5 for the blue tubes, they come with a back rest and cup holders - much more comfortable for the 2-ish hour float.

Honestly feel like I need a COVID test after going here... We did the tree top/ lazy river tubing combo and tried to enjoy as much as we could while ignoring how grossed out we were. There was no sanitizer and no one was asked to sanitize before the Tree Top Course (which had 20+ people touching the same things for over an hour) I brought my own sanitizer in my fanny pack but was told I could not bring the pack in and could not have my phone or anything in my pockets. This was also a ripoff considering the “photographer” took maybe 5 pictures of us in the same course and didn’t get a pic of us zip lining or anything. We should be allowed to bring a phone or camera for pics if the photographer was so lazy. For the tubing, there was 30 of us fully stuffed in a school bus with poor ventilation for 15 minutes till we got to the river. The life jackets and tubes were covered in mud (as were we by the end of the trip) The bus driver wouldn’t give me even one paper towel when she had two rolls bc she said “dirt is dirt.” I recommend bringing an old bathing suit and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty because our clothes from yesterday are totally black from the mud. Overall, would be enjoyable if we didn’t feel so gross and poor sanitary precautions were taken.

We felt comfortable booking this after reading on the web site how this facility is handling COVID precautions. However, it becomes obvious once you are there this is a little disingenuous and not everyone follows these rules. Do not book an excursion here unless you are comfortable being around strangers not wearing masks.
They claim to run busses at half capacity, but both busses were completely full with no room for space between parties. In their initial welcome announcement they claimed to be very strict about masks and said they were non-negotiable. As soon as we got on the bus, the bus driver repeatedly took his mask off to yell back to the people on the bus. He had his mask off more than it was actually on during the entire drive. Other customers also took their masks off on the bus or did not put them back on once the trip was over and staff did not address this at all. This meant a few crowds of drunk people with no masks, standing around waiting for the busses.
The tubing portion itself was enjoyable and Abby, Damian, and Katie were great but overall this business does not take COVID precautions as seriously as they claim.

This is the second trip my friends and I have taken with this company. It is always incredible and the guides are always eager to help. The guide in the back Blake, had an extreme propensity to be helpful. Prior to the trip I called to inquire about covid protocols and was assured they sanitized everything in-between trips and seating would be every other row on the bus. I believe the bus was sanitized, maybe the tubes but most definitely not the life jackets. Also they announced the bus is at 50% capacity. In the past they used one bus and 3 adults to one seat. This time there were two buses, two adults to a seat but no skipping rows/seats. This was not what I was told and although required to wear masks, NOT social distancing by any means. It was very unnerving and very disappointed in management. Also, prior to trip I paid for a cooler and floater, but due to COVID they did not give me a cooler, just a float and used my own....but no refund on the cooler. Overall a great experience not in a pandemic but not comforting or transparent about safety measures.

We were on a family RV trip along the Northeast and had pre-paid, weeks in advance, an expensive Lazy River rafting trip for 4 adults with ADK Tubing.com. When we arrived there was absolutely no place to park our vehicle. That was the first disappointment. An employee suggested a side road adjacent to a large ditch! While my husband tried to troubleshoot, I got on line to get our wristbands. I was told the floating cooler option that we paid for was "not available." Second disappointment. Clearly with the amount of people in the lot and waiting on line this company was NOT following New York State Covid-19 protocols of 50% capacity. That was a third and very troubling disappointment. I saw tubes being turned in by folks ending their trip being simply rinsed down with water from a garden hose, thrown back on top of school bus, and not being disinfected in any way. Fourth disappointment. We tried to get a refund and were told NO. My husband and daughter offered to stay behind, as there was no safe place to put an RV, and my son and I tried to get on the trip, with our masks on. The bus left without us, and that was the only way to the river, which was a good distance away. Fifth disappointment. I asked for a manager and was given to a girl who couldn't have been more than 17. No one out of their teens appeared to work at this place, on a busy summer Saturday. Sixth disappointment. And they would not provide a refund or credit of any kind. Unsafe, unprofessional, probably no real competition in the area so they will continue to be busy. But I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't write this negative review, something I rarely do for any business. It is months overdue in part because I did contract Covid at work and had a tough recovery. Tubing season is over until summer of 2021. I hope Adirondack Adventure Center makes some BIG changes to the way they operate by then.

Although my kids enjoyed themselves, I cannot say I was impressed with how they handled Covid. Everyone has to check in at the same time so packed lines, buses were packed with no empty seats, Did not see where tubes or safety vests were being sanitized.
Trip itself was fun till about the last third when we had to be "towed" in by the guide because were told we were behind schedule. After paying a good sum for this tripped only to be rushed to the end, not impressive. Then if you want to buy the one or two pictures you are in that were taken on the trip you can purchase for another $25
The guides we had were great, funny and helpful but overall I would not use this company again.

My family did the whitewater rafting and had a great time. Everything was on time and well organized. The bus takes you up the river (about 20 min drive) and then picks up down to go back (about 7 min drive). All the leaders are professionals and fun too. The only thing, if you are really really concern with COVID-19 safety, then may be that bus trip with 30 other people not for you. I felt ok there, but you millage may vary. We have purchased pictures too ($25 for all photos taken, as self download).

My family and I recently did the lazy river tubing and white water rafting with Adirondack Adventure Center. The lazy river was fun, but very slow paced and a bit long. Still, our guide, Kyle was very nice and helpful. We were able to bring lunch and drinks with us and eat in the tubes!
The white water rafting was a lot of fun! We almost didn’t make it though because one of my sons suddenly had a panic attack when we were about to get on the raft. Our guide, Casey was amazing! She talked him down and reassured him it was safe and we would have fun! I am so thankful that she was so caring and patient. Our whole family had a great time and will definitely do it again! Also, the day we went rafting, one of the busses broke down and the team acted right away to get another bus set up to take the group and all the rafts. It was a really hot day and it wasn’t easy work, but they still made our adventure happen! Final side note, I booked our adventures separately and then learned that discounts are given for booking multiple adventures. I emailed them and they immediately responded and refunded us the discount. Very professional and courteous staff! I would definitely recommend!

We made a reservation to do rafting next week at 10:30 and tubing at 1:00. As far as taking a cooler with a light lunch and some beverages... Is there a place for us to leave the cooler while we are white water rafting and we can retrieve it before we get on our tubes? And can we rent a cooler float at that time? I did not add that to our reservation. I did add a locker though, and I just read a comment that lockers are not currently available. Where do you leave your stuff while you're on the water (phone, keys, towel, clothes, etc...)? Lastly, does the tubing truly take 2.5 hours? Is there any way to speed it up if your party gets antsy?
Written August 12, 2020
When tubing, we left everything in our car and the staff at the counter held our car key. I trust you will return to the center after rafting so you can leave your lunch in your car and then grab it before tubing. They had tubes and coolers prepped but I imagine they can add one when you arrive, especial my since you will be there early for rafting. Tubing indeed took 2.5 hours; because pick up depends on their bus schedule, there’s not much opportunity to change it. It felt a little long for us but there are fun water guns you can buy and depending on the timing (speed of river), they sometimes stop at a spot for swimming. Staff was friendly and fun and the river is beautiful.

Most areas were about 3 feet but there were some spots over 6 feet deep

No...you can bring your own vest but must be in one of their tubes.
