This is my second trip and both were great .Because I did this before I knew you can not leave anything on the bus. so you will not have a towel. we brought a plastic bag and put a few things in it. we had rented the floating cooler holder and there was room to smush the bag beside the cooler. I would recommend bring your cooler and rent the cooler float . Same price( if you do not have a cooler the cooler rental will do OK .)
The bus trip was very bumpy. about 20 min.The driver on the way back had us put our hands up while she whipped around this corner and I thought , good thing a car was not coming. she said A man has his dog loose and the dog is old so he complains she goes too fast (which she does). Rafts were dispensed quickly and rules given quickly. The river was high and fast. I think because it is so fast they have you stop for about 20 minutes on this rock beach,,which was fine.,We ate lunch .My only complaint is the departure. We had to wait for a bus and it took forever to load the tubes. The bus should be there and tubes loaded as you get out. We were eaten by mosquitoes while we waited. I want to say the loading part took 25-30 min .Overall very fun and I did recommend to many people

My daughter and I stopped into the gift shop, on our way out of town, and ended up staying to do the treetop zipline course. It was awesome! We had never done anything like it before. The instructors walked us through how to wear the gear, and how to use it. They were on the ground, offering guidance when needed. The level 1 course was more challenging than expected, and it made us feel very accomplished LOL. It was great fun, and I’d do it again, in a heartbeat. No cameras allowed on the course, but a photographer took 70 photos of us, and it was only $30 to purchase the whole online album, the same day. FYI: no personal belongings or jewelry allowed, so leave them in your car, or rent a locker for $10. Locker rental kiosk only accepts credit cards. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. It helped my 8 yr old conquer her fear of heights.

My favorite part about aac are the guides lol. Caitlyn was our tube guide..she was so helpful and friendly ...and informative. She was also training Devan for his first time out. We all had a blast.
The cherry to this establishment is by far Nate and the white water trip... What A TRIP! OMG. First of all dude sold us the trip at 945 am while we were getting the best sandwiches at harris grocery ( located right across from the aac) no need to pack food! He was right it was worth every dime and more. Im not giving away any secrets but if u want the party boat aak for nate and do the trip!

Ty guys. What a treasure in middle of mountain.

We were on a family RV trip along the Northeast and had pre-paid, weeks in advance, an expensive Lazy River rafting trip for 4 adults with ADK Tubing.com. When we arrived there was absolutely no place to park our vehicle. That was the first disappointment. An employee suggested a side road adjacent to a large ditch! While my husband tried to troubleshoot, I got on line to get our wristbands. I was told the floating cooler option that we paid for was "not available." Second disappointment. Clearly with the amount of people in the lot and waiting on line this company was NOT following New York State Covid-19 protocols of 50% capacity. That was a third and very troubling disappointment. I saw tubes being turned in by folks ending their trip being simply rinsed down with water from a garden hose, thrown back on top of school bus, and not being disinfected in any way. Fourth disappointment. We tried to get a refund and were told NO. My husband and daughter offered to stay behind, as there was no safe place to put an RV, and my son and I tried to get on the trip, with our masks on. The bus left without us, and that was the only way to the river, which was a good distance away. Fifth disappointment. I asked for a manager and was given to a girl who couldn't have been more than 17. No one out of their teens appeared to work at this place, on a busy summer Saturday. Sixth disappointment. And they would not provide a refund or credit of any kind. Unsafe, unprofessional, probably no real competition in the area so they will continue to be busy. But I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't write this negative review, something I rarely do for any business. It is months overdue in part because I did contract Covid at work and had a tough recovery. Tubing season is over until summer of 2021. I hope Adirondack Adventure Center makes some BIG changes to the way they operate by then.

Honestly feel like I need a COVID test after going here... We did the tree top/ lazy river tubing combo and tried to enjoy as much as we could while ignoring how grossed out we were. There was no sanitizer and no one was asked to sanitize before the Tree Top Course (which had 20+ people touching the same things for over an hour) I brought my own sanitizer in my fanny pack but was told I could not bring the pack in and could not have my phone or anything in my pockets. This was also a ripoff considering the “photographer” took maybe 5 pictures of us in the same course and didn’t get a pic of us zip lining or anything. We should be allowed to bring a phone or camera for pics if the photographer was so lazy. For the tubing, there was 30 of us fully stuffed in a school bus with poor ventilation for 15 minutes till we got to the river. The life jackets and tubes were covered in mud (as were we by the end of the trip) The bus driver wouldn’t give me even one paper towel when she had two rolls bc she said “dirt is dirt.” I recommend bringing an old bathing suit and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty because our clothes from yesterday are totally black from the mud. Overall, would be enjoyable if we didn’t feel so gross and poor sanitary precautions were taken.

Day was overcast and felt colder than weather forecast predicted. Called ahead and learned that you can't stop tubing sooner than full 2 hours if you're cold. Was also told that we could not reschedule nor apply our tubing fee to a different activity (e.g., zip line). Cancellation policy strictly requires 24 hours notice. The person we spoke with was completely unaccommodating.

Since the round-trip drive would have been 3 hours, we decided to "no show" and sacrifice the $150.

This area was the perfect halfway point that we met friends and family at. The overall floating experience was an absolute beautiful and peaceful ride. Although, I was very disappointed by a few things. To begin with, their website purchases are extremely misleading. We purchased a floating cooler, a locker, and a squirt gun. When we got there we were told that the lockers are unavailable due to COVID, they do not have any squirt guns , as they are on back order, and the picture on the website of the floating cooler looks absolutely nothing like the actual one they have. The site states that the experience is 3 hours but it fails to explain that the float itself is not the entire 3 hours, it includes the 15 minute bus ride to and from (30 minutes round trip), and the time it takes to get organized, unload/load on the bus. Upon arriving to the take off point, there was no directions given to us what so ever other than they'll be an end point where the bus picks us up. Once we were on the river floating, the few guides that assisted everyone around/away from rocks/shoreline were EXTREMELY rude. There is absolutely no reason for that attitude. The entire atmosphere is peaceful relaxing, etc. A few times we asked questions and we got very snickered responses. One of them was very pissy and stated how we were suppose to stop at a halfway point and because no one did we were told we were going to be getting back 20 minutes early due to the flow of the river being faster than usual, which was fine but it would have been nice to communicate the message PRIOR to taking off from shore to let everyone know that. I am not sure I will be coming back here for this experience. My friends and family have extremely stressful everyday lives and came here for a peaceful and relaxing experience which yes overall we did but the rude attitudes, false advertising online, no directions, etc is what will have me looking elsewhere to river float in the future.

We felt comfortable booking this after reading on the web site how this facility is handling COVID precautions. However, it becomes obvious once you are there this is a little disingenuous and not everyone follows these rules. Do not book an excursion here unless you are comfortable being around strangers not wearing masks.

They claim to run busses at half capacity, but both busses were completely full with no room for space between parties. In their initial welcome announcement they claimed to be very strict about masks and said they were non-negotiable. As soon as we got on the bus, the bus driver repeatedly took his mask off to yell back to the people on the bus. He had his mask off more than it was actually on during the entire drive. Other customers also took their masks off on the bus or did not put them back on once the trip was over and staff did not address this at all. This meant a few crowds of drunk people with no masks, standing around waiting for the busses.

The tubing portion itself was enjoyable and Abby, Damian, and Katie were great but overall this business does not take COVID precautions as seriously as they claim.

Our guide Keith from the Adirondack Adventure Center was amazing! He provided my family and I with a fun first-time white water rafting experience He kept us safe, navigating our way the entire time down the river, and instructed us when to paddle. We even got to go into the water to free float for a little while, then he safely pulled all the swimmers back into the raft to continue our ride. We will definitely go on another trip again with this place when we return next summer. Whether you are a newbie or not, you will definitely have a great time.

This is the second trip my friends and I have taken with this company. It is always incredible and the guides are always eager to help. The guide in the back Blake, had an extreme propensity to be helpful. Prior to the trip I called to inquire about covid protocols and was assured they sanitized everything in-between trips and seating would be every other row on the bus. I believe the bus was sanitized, maybe the tubes but most definitely not the life jackets. Also they announced the bus is at 50% capacity. In the past they used one bus and 3 adults to one seat. This time there were two buses, two adults to a seat but no skipping rows/seats. This was not what I was told and although required to wear masks, NOT social distancing by any means. It was very unnerving and very disappointed in management. Also, prior to trip I paid for a cooler and floater, but due to COVID they did not give me a cooler, just a float and used my own....but no refund on the cooler. Overall a great experience not in a pandemic but not comforting or transparent about safety measures.
