Mauritius Handcrafted Ship Models Bobato exists since 1992 when Mr. Kadress Soobaroyen started to make ship models in a small place at Vacoas, during that time the business grow up and have built a large collections of models boats for customers. He settled up his own company La Flotte ltd in the year 2000 and move to a new place at 53A, sir John Pope Henessy St. Curepipe, Mauritius Island. Over the years the company have realized many Custom models boats built and Historical models.

Im Dezember 2022 waren wir nun zum zweiten Mal auf Mauritius. Beim letzten Mal hatte ich schon mit dem Kauf eines Schiffsmodells darüber nachgedacht. Jetzt sollte es auch gekauft werden. Wir sind mehr aus Zufall bei Bobato Ship vorbei gefahren und haben uns die Ausstellung der Schiffe angeguckt. Der Besitzer und seine Frau sind sehr sympathische und unaufdringliche nette Menschen. Ich hatte mich für die WASA als Schiffsmodell in Große 3 = 97 cm Länge entschieden. Trotz meiner Bedenken das Schiffsmodell sicher nach Hause zu bekommen, hat alles gut geklappt. Im Geschäft wurde das Modell sehr sicher in einer Transportbox verpackt. Da ich bedenken hatte, dass aufgrund der Größe ein Rücktransport mit dem Flugzeug nicht möglich ist, bot der Besitzer an, dass Schiff an unserem Abflugtermin vorbeizubringen und solange zu warten bis wir eingecheckt haben. Das hat auch super geklappt. Nochmals vielen Dank an Herrn S. Die Qualität des Schiffe ist überragend und trotz genauer Betrachtung habe ich keine Fehler gefunden. Hier stimmt einfach alles Service und Qualität. Wenn man ein solches Schiff kauft, ist allerdings zu bedenken, dass Transportkosten von ca. 200,00 Euro und Zollgebühren hinzukommen. Aber es ist ein tolles Souvenir und eine schöne Geschichte die mich immer an unseren Urlaub auf Mauritius erinnern werden und es ist jeden Euro wert.

Je souhaitais en venant à l'ile Maurice renouveler l'achat que mes parents avez fait il près de 50 ans, dans la première boutique de fabrication de maquettes de bateaux, malheureusement disparue à l'heure actuelle. j'ai donc visité les différents fabricants existant sur l'ile. Il sont au nombre de quatre : 1 dans le nord de l'ile, à Goodland Historic Marine (dont j'ai déjà publié un commentaire) et 3 dans le sud à Curepipe : Bobato, Voiliers de L'Ocean, le Port.
Pour les 3 maquettistes de Curepipe, je n'en retiendrai qu'un: Bobato, C'est selon moi, celui qui à le plus beau musée de maquettes et dont les réalisations sont exceptionnelles. La personne que j'ai rencontré ce jour là ma parfaitement aiguillé pour mon achat tout en me donnant plein d'infos sur les fabrications, malheureusement les ateliers étant fermés pour raison de vacances scolaires, je n'ai pas pu les visités.
c'est une activité sur l'ile importante et ne pas rater, au mm titre que les plantations de cannes à sucre.
