perfect rainy day activity
Jul 2020
This is such a fun activity for both adults and kids. Surprisingly inexpensive for such a touristy area.

Great activity!
Feb 2020 • Family
VERY reasonably priced. About an hour, start to finish. Jim was a great instructor, telling fabulous Dad jokes! He had the big pieces, which needed to be cut, or ones he had cut already which you just scoop up. He explained that he started offering those for his group of special adults. It makes things more accessible for them. This would also help smaller children. He was a really great guy, and a fantastic family activity, even with two teenagers! There was even an area set up for "fancy" pictures!

There was a scent called monkey fart!

A Must-Do in Lake George
Jul 2019
This was a wonderful, hands-on, fun activity for kids and grown-ups going to Lake George. Making candles was easy, creative, and lots of fun to do, and the proprietor Jim made everything about it into a happy experience. There was a wide choice of shapes, sizes and aromas for the candles and the finished products came out beautiful. Don't miss it.

What a great place to stop and have a fun indoor activity for families couples or singles. Highly recommend and not that much expensive. Great idea all tourist places should have something like this Prices range $7-40 depending on size and shape

Nice family activity
Aug 2018 • Family
Reasonably priced family candle making activity. Break up blocks of colored wax and fill molds with pieces (think sand art). Add a scent and molton wax, wait 1/2 hour and you are done.. It is not a large shop so be aware that on rainy days you want to get there as early as you can. Go next door for Polish Ices while you are waiting!

Great rainy day activity, great customer service
Jul 2018 • Family
My wife and 16 and 12 year old had a great time making candles on a rainy July day. Candles are extremely reasonably priced (under $8 a piece). I totally think they could charge more. Great direction and customer service. Lots to do in Lake George but not so much on a rainy day. This was a great find, right across the street from an arcade.

Make your own souvenir!
Jul 2018 • Solo
I have been making candles here for years. All of the staff do a great job. I love the whole experience...you pick the shape, the size, the colors, and scent. You make it with your own hands. Don't bring home store-bought souvenirs...Make them...
stop in and make your own candle(s).

Pro Tip- it's super busy on rainy days. I make a point to take an hour around dinnertime on a nice weather day to avoid the crowds.
Tell Jim, Lori and Griff that Stephanie sent you!
ps- no appointment necessary, just walk in!

Amazing find
Jul 2018 • Family
Was on a mini family vacation in the Lake George area and stumbled upon this place. Located right off the main drag in the Lake George Village. The worker was VERY pleasant and gave us the rundown on how to make our candles. Have probably 20-30 different sizes and shaped candles to choose. Most ranged in the price of $8-$15 but some were $25+ but were larger candles. Also had 15+ scents to fragrence your candle with. My wife, and two kids (4) and (7) and myself loved doing it and couldn't wait to see how they turned out. When done they filled the voided areas with wax and it was about a 30 minute wait but they said to take as long as we wanted. We went and ate at a local resturaunt (Fire and Ice) food was ok but nothing amazing. Also walked around a little. Very close to everything in the village (Beach.Arcades.Mini Golf.Resuraunts and Shopping) so plenty to do while we waited. Overall we got 4 beautiful, one of a kind, scented homemade candles for $35!!! Earlier in the day we went to a place called Creative Sparks in Saratoga Springs (20 minute drive) and painted our own bowls/plates and also loved that place. So this was a great end to a wonderful "Artistic/Cratfy) day. Would HIGHLY recommend this place for ANYONE. Definitely will be back.
