This fort which has been mostly rebuilt was a focus point of numerous wars, and is a great way to experience that time. The fort still dry fires cannons and holds reenactment battles some times that are beyond cool to watch.

Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. My youngest (5) had a blast and my 12 year old.... well he's 12 and he enjoyed it. They give all vets free admission.

We spent a few hours going through the fort. It's a self guided tour, however there are guides along the way dressed in period clothing. The museum is quite interesting as is the history of the fort and it's role in past scurmisse. They have a large gift shop you can browse on your way out. Enjoy History, always Chefnfly

We visited the fort during the day. The gun and cannon demonstration were great! I wish the young woman had given us a tour of the entire fort. She was very knowledgable. We returned later that night for the 'ghost tour.' The tour guides taught us a lot about the history of the fort and the surrounding areas. The entrance... More

I did my homework before visiting Fort William Henry. If you don't know the history behind this place, you probably won't really appreciate it. I visited on a September morning after school had started. There were few people there, so I really had a chance to see the video and visit every part of the fort at leisure and read... More

Thank you for visiting! This area has a very rich history and although the Fort William Henry did not have a long one, it was an important part of the French and Indian War. Please come see us again! More

I suppose if you've never been to an 18th century fort -- original or reproduction -- then this would be fine, but anyone with a rudimentary understanding or even passing interest in this era of history will be disappointed. For starters, the admission for a single adult was $16 in the off-season. That's highway robbery. I paid $10 up the... More

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. To begin, our rates stay the same all season while Ticonderoga ranges from $12 to $22 depending on when you go. We do offer various discounts including AAA, senior, military are free and so forth. Both forts have been reconstructed on their original sites and we agree that Fort Ti is a... More

Read up on the fort if you can before visiting. The fort is a reconstruction of the original English fort which was burned by the French and Indians in 1757. It has an excellent location on the lake for scenic views, which also allows for discussion of sunken boats and even a submarine. There is an entry fee that varies... More

Took a tour today, I love the views from this place! But the history and art work are pretty interesting as well..Today, the museum revealed a new entrance relief and art project that was originally done by Jack Binder.....Quite interesting! And, if you are into Ghosties, they do have ghost tours as well!

Thank you for reviewing your visit! We are pleased you liked the new entrance exhibit. It was a lot of work by some very talented local artists to create the painting and fix the aging sculptures by Jack Binder, but was well worth the effort! More

Small wooden fort with great exhibits, fun demonstrations and an informative staff. It was a very pleasant surprise! Kids can get all kitted out with vests and muskets. I enjoyed the many exhibits displayed throughout the fort and lived the musket and cannon firing demos.
