My family of 4 tried to play golf here on a Tuesday night. The website says they close at 9pm and the last game golf starts at 8pm. We arrived at 8:02 and were turned away. Two minutes? My two children were so disappointed. Three other families who pulled in behind us had to leave as well. Given all the business loss and financial hardship due to COVID, you would think this business would be more friendly and accommodating to others, especially those with young children.
So we decided to head into the village and we played some mini-golf at Around The World.

BMF203CT,
We are very sorry that you disappointed your children by arriving at our course after we had closed for the day. It is very surprising to us that you would submit a review for an attraction that you did not experience. We have a last game start time and a closing time that apply equally to everyone. Should we have made a special exception for your family? We believe that it is better to treat all of our players equally without exception.

When we were there in group of 20, we have had terrible time upfront with owners. We were treated drastically different. She had no smile on face, no manner. Kids in our group, ranging 5 yr to 12 yr were not allowed to even touch the golf sticks unless until paid. Telling them Put That Back Right Now. Can You Stay Away. Though that was not the case with a family ahead of us. You know what I mean. Really? to kids? Pathetic Will Never Visit nor Recommend This Place who differentiate between customers based on human traits and looks.

We are very sorry that you feel that you were mistreated at our mini golf course. We provide a clean, fun, family friendly and affordable experience to all of our guests.
For us to have to "organize" our players at the window and keep them from disturbing other players on the course is very rare. Most everyone realizes that you must pay for your game(s) prior to taking the equipment and beginning your game when it is your turn to play.
We pride ourselves on the fun and friendly atmosphere that we provide to all of our guests and we are sorry that you felt that you were singled out for your looks and or traits. We're sure that we only requested that your group be considerate of the other patrons on our course and at our facility, a request that we rarely have to make. We are sorry that you viewed our request for considerate behavior as singling out your group.

We went here for the first time after visiting Lake George yearly for the past 15 years and we have really been missing out! They have such beautiful landscaping, a fun course, water misters ( perfect for a 92 degree day) and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. The price was great it was around $24 for 4 of us to play and each person got an ice cream cone. The ice cream was great. Absolutely loved Lumberjack Pass and we will return!

I've driven by this course on my way to work for the last 27 years. My 4 year old really wanted to go so we finally did. I expected it to be older and nothing special. Quite the opposite. It was well kept, nicely landscaped with very fair greens and none of the cups had crazy lips. The woman working the window seemed to be one of the owners. She was very pleasant.
Very fair price includes an ice cream cone at the end.

We have been coming to Lake George for years, and tried every mini golf course. Lumberjack pass is the best by far, and it's the least expensive of all! Food and ice cream is very good too, and reasonably priced.

If you want something fun to do while in the Lake George-Queensbury-Glens Falls area, go to LumberJack Pass Mini-golf.
It is fun but challenging.
It is great for parent & child.
The misters make it fun on a hot day.
After a match you can grab a cone or full meal at the snack bar.
It is open May to mid September.
Well run & fun.

We visited Lake George last summer and it seemed we hit every mini-golfing place there was! Lumber Jacks wasn't one my favorite but I didn't hate it... The pathways were getting grown over from the gardens so they were very narrow in some places an the greens were covered from needles and twigs... The lady that waited on us was nice but you could tell she didn't want to be there or bothered... One thing that I liked that most places didn't have was a water spray tower to cool off under... Over it pasted the time the afternoon we went but didn't fully enjoy it...

Hi Chelsea - The weather last summer seemed to be just what our shrubs were looking for! We do trim our trees and shrubs every spring and fall, but, this year they grew at an enormous rate. Unfortunately, they cannot be cut back during the summer.
We do apologize for your finding foreign material on the greens. We blow the course off each morning before opening. Was it a particularly windy day when you visited?
Lastly, I am truly sorry if you found me to be less than welcoming. I truly love what I do and, as the owner, I am very happy being at Lumberjack and meeting all of the terrific people that come to play!

It was a big mistake to enter into an un-friendly place that treats people based on not who they are but based on other factors such as looks etc. Went there for out first ever mini-golf experience(in fact our first ever golf experience) with our family, as my son and daughter wanted to try out golf fun during our Lake George vacation. Ultimately what ended up happening was we were asked to go out in the middle of our game, half way through. Reason quoted was rule breaking - the owner said we bought only 2 players and 3 were playing.. Even though I was helping my 4 year old son, I thought it was a fair comment from the owner, so I agreed to buy another player in order to not spoil our day and our vacation, and to be fair with the premise rules.
But the owner did not let the situation still settle, and further asked us to leave the mini-golf, and 'find another place to play' and she would return the money if we were to leave, as though she wanted to wipe clean the 'dirt' that entered her property at any cost. Honestly we were in absolute shock that she did not want us to continue irrespective of the fact that I agreed to pay for the additional player. I had a very hard time explaining why we were asked to leave to my 14 year old daughter and 4 year old son - had to explain how some people could treat you based on how you look and talk :-(
Needless to say, we will never go back there, and wont recommend any of our friends(of course of my same type and looks), and even actively 'warned' them about this place already. Later on the same day we went to play at 'Around the world golf' at the beach road, and we had great fun, and being treated as fellow human beings.

Hello 161sriramp,
How dare you accuse me of treating you differently based on your “looks”. You sir, are the one putting looks into the equation. We have always treated our players and visitors with the utmost respect and we will continue to do so. Unfortunately, some of our player groups do not treat our business with the same respect and your family was one of them.
Let me remind you of the following:
1. You knowingly paid for 2 people and 4 people played. That on its own is theft, it was done intentionally, and is totally inexcusable.
2. I had to walk down to hole # 10 after two separate groups playing behind your family came back to my window to complain about your family’s behavior on the course. It’s bad enough when 4 people slow down play for everyone as they share two clubs and 2 balls for 4 people, but to also receive a complaint that the rocks your son was throwing were coming dangerously close to hitting them could not be ignored.
3. The word that your daughter used when referring to me on the course is inexcusable on all levels.
You were asked to leave and your fees were refunded based solely on your and your family’s behavior. I am no longer placing myself in a position of having to lower the standards for my business, my players, and my business reputation because an aggressive and/or injuring party may generate a fabricated negative review.

I really wanted to like this golf course, but something about it keeps them from achieving greatness.
They're one of the cheapest mini-golf's in Lake George, as well as a free cone that sweetens the deal (plus free sprinkles with the coupon). However, the course felt a little too tight. The landscaping needs a lot of TLC. It feels like nobody's trimmed the shrubs in a couple years. Some of the overgrowth of the bushes interferes with the course layout or even just getting in line to hit the ball.
All it really needs is a good landscaper, and it might be able to go 5 stars. For now, 3 because it's good... but not great. Here's hoping they'll take care of it for next year.

There are several options for mini golf in the area. We went with Lumberjack Pass after seeing a coupon in a tourist rack. We are so glad that we did! Great course. Very clean. Less than $6 per person and you get a free ice cream cone. The ice cream was very very good! The misters were a nice added bonus on the hot day.
